Tamales[edit]

Evice, The correct word is "tamal" (an Indian word) "tamales" is a Spanish pluralization (acceptable). "Tamale" is used in the USA as singular, but is not etymologically justifiable. Wugo

Understood! I only wanted to be sure you were aware of the anomaly.Wugo (talk) 23:58, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with File:Marthshadowdragon.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Marthshadowdragon.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:40, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Wthi-tv.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Wthi-tv.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. JaGatalk 01:29, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

Go ahead and delete it. It's outdated anyway (that station has a different logo now). --Evice (talk) 02:04, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

File:Fat black cat.JPG[edit]

Hi Evice, when checking the low-quality-cat-images-category on Commons I found this statement in the description of your upload: "©2010 Caleb Nidey. All rights reserved." What do you mean by that? Are you the mentioned person? If yes, it's either a free license or "All rights reserved", not both. In addition, as the image is only in use on your userpage, I've classified it as userpageimage; otherwise I would have filed it for deletion due to quality reasons. --Túrelio (talk) 13:59, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi, yes, I am the copyright holder, and no, I did not know that about free images. The current license was what I intended. As for the quality, I should have worked on that sooner, as I do have higher-quality images, though I do not intend to upload one at this time. Thanks for notifying me about the license and reclassifying the images. --Evice (talk) 16:34, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
O.k., I've now removed the "All rights reserved" from the description. If your real name is not already public on-wiki, you might also consider removing the "(C) Caleb Nidey", as it is not necessary, since re-users have to credit "Evice" anyway. --Túrelio (talk) 18:39, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Go ahead and have it deleted. It's probably outdated. --Evice (talk) 15:29, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
