Orphaned non-free media (Image:Wendys logo.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Wendys logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:34, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help Admins![edit]

I was wondering if an admin could please move everything back to "Prefix:EvilWendyMan" please 8) EvilWendyMan 01:05, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Waiting---EvilWendyMan 11:19, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • You are looking for either the {{db-user}} or the {{db-move}} template. Stick it on your user pages you want deleted, with the appropriate parameters, and an admin will notice and perform the deletion. Afterwards you can perform the move yourself.
Typically, if you need help, put the {{Helpme}} template on your talk page and someone will stop by and help you with your question. That, or ask at the Wikipedia:Help desk. I only happened to still have your talk page watchlisted due to some previous dialog, but that will probably not last forever. :)
      --AmaltheaTalk 11:34, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • I've requested the page move for you, since obviously you aren't getting notifications of my answer here. If you lost track of the pages in your user space, check those two links: [1] [2].
Please, in the future, think before you move pages around, or create them. Quite a number of pages you created had to be tidied up afterwards, e.g. Writing a book/Wikipedia, User:Writing a book/Wikipedia, U:EWM.
      AmaltheaTalk 18:54, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have done the moves and deleted the surplus pages. Please confine yourself to your Userspace when creating new pages about private topics. Regards SoWhy 19:19, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Book Article[edit]

I have a book that I'm writing about. But it is about Wikipedia and I think it violates WP:COI even though it is on a userpage. Can I create it as a user subpage? EvilWendyMan 19:00, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If it's in userspace, it shouldn't violate COI as all your pages are by definition not neutral. But it might violate the user page guidelines. If you need space to write a book, you should probably look for some free webspace. Regards SoWhy 19:23, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:ProRacer.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ProRacer.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Additionally, if you continue uploading bad images, you may be blocked from uploading. STBotI (talk) 20:41, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit conflicts[edit]

In regard to your requests for adminship, I notice that when you were asked if you have been in any conflicts over editing, it seems that you answered by talking about your experiences in edit conflicts. I don't think that's what the question is supposed to mean. My understanding is that you are talking about times when there were more than one person editing the same page at the same time, so by the time you tried to save your changes, someone else had already made some other changes to the same page, and so you had to revise your edits. That's not what the question is about, though. The question is asking about times when there was a disagreement between you and someone else about what should be included in an article -- if you wanted some information to be included and they didn't, or they wanted some information to be included and you thought it should not be. In the edit conflicts you were referring to, all that happened was that people were editing the page so fast that you got a message that the page had been changed before you could save your edits. But that's not really a conflict, because for all we know those other editors might have agreed with you or been neutral about your proposed edits. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 18:24, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA[edit]

I have closed your RfA early per WP:NOTNOW, which appeared to be the overall consensus. This was done primarily to prevent pile-on opposes that would otherwise discourage a solid contributor to the project. I suggest that you heed the advice of the comments from those who participated in your RfA and feel free to return after sufficient time has passed after addressing those concerned. This is not a reflection on you as a person. Cheers! Wisdom89 (T / C) 20:13, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of No Dogs Allowed (disambiguation)[edit]

I have nominated No Dogs Allowed (disambiguation), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/No Dogs Allowed (disambiguation). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Image copyright problem with File:DaLa.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:DaLa.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 21:27, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Northwest Airlines Flight 2 (2009)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Northwest Airlines Flight 2 (2009), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

non-notable

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 76.66.193.90 (talk) 12:46, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Evil Wendy Man/Secret Page Challenge, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Evil Wendy Man/Secret Page Challenge and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Evil Wendy Man/Secret Page Challenge during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Wendy for admin.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Personal file, no foreseeable encyclopedic use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
