Orphaned non-free media (Image:Aquino time.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:Aquino time.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:08, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

NowCommons: File:Ronato alcano.jpg[edit]

File:Ronato alcano.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Ronato Alcano.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Ronato Alcano.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 19:33, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi Exec8, is this photo, Commons:File:Ronato Alcano.jpg, realy created by yourself? According to an imagesearch engine it is also used elsewhere, so it would be helpful, if you can clearify this. Please confirm or negate that you are the holder of all copyrights of this file and that you are legaly qualified to release the image under a free license so that everyone can reuse it for every purpose including commercial use. Thanks, --Martin H. (talk) 16:33, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Copyright problems with File:Dasol River.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Dasol River.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.flickr.com/photos/37874527@N00/481113205/. As a copyright violation, File:Dasol River.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Dasol River.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Dasol River.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at File talk:Dasol River.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Dasol River.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Martin H. (talk) 16:57, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

And File:Tambobong1.jpg which is also not your photographic work. Please pay attention to coyprights. --Martin H. (talk) 16:57, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Image permission problem with Image:Loren legarda.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Loren legarda.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Martin H. (talk) 17:48, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Mall_of_asia_02.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Fair use rationale for File:Unibersidad ng Pilipinas.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Unibersidad ng Pilipinas.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Information.svg Hello Exec8! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,578 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

thank you very much for the message. First off, I would like to congratulate the organization, I am very happy for you. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the first "Philippine Youth Congress". Since I have not long returned back to Australia from the Philippines, via Singapore and Brisbane (Australia) Airports, then reaching my home town Airport on September 2nd, 2010. However, I do plan on going back to the Philippines in the future, mainly to Cebu, the only thing that will change is flying via Singapore then to Cebu. Will fly directly to Manila then Cebu. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Megamall 01.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Megamall 01.jpg.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 05:58, 20 February 2011 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you worked on, Caban, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

It helps to explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the Help Desk. Thanks again for contributing! Oo7565 (talk) 19:34, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Feedback about deletion notices[edit]

Hi Exec8,

You recently received either an AfD or PROD notification, as part of a template testing experiment. If you could go to this talkpage and leave us some feedback about the new version of the templates we tested, that would be very useful. We're specifically looking for info about whether the messages were more effective at communicating how authors of articles should participate in deletion processes. You can also email me at mpinchuk@wikimedia.org if you want. Thanks! Maryana (WMF) (talk) 01:00, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:PHL-Rainfall-color-coding.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PHL-Rainfall-color-coding.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:16, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

Demographics[edit]

Kumusta Exec8. As you noticed from the barnstar above, I appreciate your work for Philippines related articles. I noticed that you added demographic info to places, and that's great. But why not just add the numbers to the existing table (when it is there already), instead of inserting a new one and removing the existing one along with the section header and reference? Demographics should have its own section like Bantay, Ilocos Sur, for example. The new reference you insert only has generic URL link to the census home page but the existing one is more specific. And you probably should add an extra source for the older census data, because it no longer is on the census website to verify. Again, see Bantay, Ilocos Sur, for example. Thanks for all your help. -- P 1 9 9   15:12, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. old logo of the MRTC that the new logo intended to replace

Hi i know you think that the "MetroRail Yellow Line" is the new logo of the train and branding but this is merely the corporate name. You might want to see the Metro Rail Transit Corporation article and see for yourself the logo that the "MetroRail Yellow Line" intended to replace. Plus do you need me to create a screenshot showing the metrostar express logo still in use in the dotcmrt3.gov.ph website? The mere use of that logo means that "Metrostar express" is still the train's branding but the management decided to show the new corporate logo instead. So the "new logo" would be best to be put into the Metro Rail Transit Corporation article rather than the Manila Metro Rail Transit System

P.S. I have been in and out of the depot recently and that is what they told me. Plus I ride the system everyday. PhilippineRevolution (talk) 04:24, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

That is where you are wrong. Basically DOTC-MRT3 is the government's arm in the MRTC corporation and a change like a new logo will not be allowed by the MRTC unless a consensus of agreement between the board which includes MVP's group and the government will take place as agreed upon by the Build-Operate-Transfer agreement signed before. That is why the government these days wants a buyout because their moves in the system is subject for approval of the MRTC board as the MRTC is currently the Owner and Operator of the system until the concession has lapsed. PhilippineRevolution (talk) 04:48, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
Yes the government has purchased 80% of the economic interests during GMA's time. But Economic interests only means that the revenue generated is going to them and in order for the government to legally acquire or at least be in charge of the system, they need to buy the ownership and voting interests which 40% was owned by MVP, 40% by other private investors and only 20% is owned by the government. Local courts have ruled in favor of the government basically because the MRTC failed to add new trains and that is the only temporary legal power given to them by the courts and not ownership. That is why MRTC opted to go to international courts in singapore for "unbiased" arbitration. FYI: General Managers have always came from the government as part of the BOT agreement still. For sources you could just use google and see the articles that I pertain to.

This source says it all: http://www.philstar.com/business/2014/03/03/1296355/govt-takeover-mrt-3-hinges-singapore-arbitration-case

PhilippineRevolution (talk) 05:24, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

P.S. Wait for a consensus. If your argument wins then other editors will put it. But until then, original edits prior to the dispute should be the ones to prevail which means that the "Metrostar express" should be used for the mean time.PhilippineRevolution (talk) 05:30, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
If there is no consensus, it must be deleted instead. --Exec8 (talk) 05:38, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
i just reverted prior to your edits and before your edits, the logo and branding is the metrostar express. The first source have been added but i think that alone would suffice.

I could agree on that, both logos will be removed in the article and brandings would be dropped to prevent further disputes if in case there would be no consensus. But please be patient in waiting for one as it usually takes at least a week for others to put some input.PhilippineRevolution (talk) 05:43, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

Being a new user does not mean that im not capable and could not be right over you. I may have minor hiccups in editing but it does not mean its wrong. Regarding the stalemate to remove the logo and branding yes let us go with that for the mean time.PhilippineRevolution (talk) 05:51, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
