Hello,

List of war outbreakes[edit]

Hello Factor01 ! Hope You do not mind me dropping a few lines here ? I've made a special comment of the British attack on the French Navy. Because, as You wrote, Britain did not declare war, and the list is not supposed to deal with single battles or operations, but outbreakes of war and their basic reasons. However this called for a special comment, as it led to French diplomatic breakdown the day after. I wrote a few lines below the table. (the date of the British attack was 3rd of July, wasn't it?) First thing, I did not write anything regarding this subject, but if you are referring to the Attack on Mers-el-Kébir, than that's correct. The British did attack the French colonial fleet to prevent it from being taken over by the Germans; and the date was 3 July 1940. --Factor01 (talk) 19:54, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

World War II[edit]

Please gain consensus for your proposed changes on the talk page rather than keep on edit warring them back in. Please see the archives of the talk page for examples of previous such discussions. Nick-D (talk) 09:44, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

I understand that. However, the level of detail is determined by consensus, so I suggest you discuss on the talk page of the article the inclusion of the material you propose. Britmax (talk) 14:21, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Belated welcome[edit]

Hello, Factor01, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!

I just realized you are relatively new to Wikipedia. Usually someone posts a welcome with some suggestions on talk pages of new editors, but for some reason nobody welcomed you here. So a belated welcome. Please read a bit about policies. Also you may notice that while there is a lot of disagreement in Wikipedia, in general the vast majority wants to improve the project. That does not say we all agree. My idea about a good article may differ considerably from that of another editor. By remaining civil and trying to come to consensus we aim to get the best from everyone. Arnoutf (talk) 17:53, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 10[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Interesting[edit]

I saw the numbers you cited at User_talk:Nick-D#Quality_of_the_WWII_Article.3B_only_57.25_reader_rating. Where did you get this data (readers comments, %) from? I'd be interested in seeing the source. Thanks! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 19:57, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly; I'll look into this shortly! Cheers, --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 21:20, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

Follow up[edit]

Hi, Factor01. Re: your earlier assessment. The issue is even more serious in my view. Just wanted to let you know that I also would like to have it resolved. See here for my own two cents in case you took it off your Watchlist. Thanks, Poeticbent talk 05:30, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for IDing this hoax. In the future, I'd recommend pinging relevant WikiProjects, such as notifying WT:POLAND - very few people will see a post on a talkpage of a remote article like this (luckilly, User:Poeticbent did). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:14, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
