[edit] Wikipedia talk:Meetup/Chicago 3.1
You signed up at Wikipedia:Meetup/Chicago 3. I thought you might want to sign up for Wikipedia talk:Meetup/Chicago 3.1 from 10:30-11:45 a.m. on Saturday May 1, 2010 at the UIC Student Center West.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 22:45, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
[edit] IL Governors
Hi Fishal! Thanks for the note, I've added a comment at WT:ILLINOIS and added a request at WT:WikiProject Illinois/to do. I'll try to help as much as I can, although I'm better at the geographical (cities, villages, etc.) articles. Regards, --Funandtrvl (talk) 01:42, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
[edit] County Boundary Changes
This is neat stuff. Can you do this for all the counties of our Great State? HuskyHuskie (talk) 02:35, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've plowed through a large number of these county historical maps. What a great contribution. Thanks! HuskyHuskie (talk) 01:28, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
[edit] I was looking at your recent edit
at Collegiate Gothic in North America where you (I think) added Altgeld's castles and I believe that they don't really belong there. They are, in my mind, college buildings built in the Gothic Revival architecture style, but are not really in the Collegiate Gothic style. Looking at this has brought to me attention that there is not a very good definition and/or description of what the style consists of. Anyway, think it over. EInar aka Carptrash (talk)
- Actually (one of the 27 words and phrases that mean my opinion) I agree with what you are doing and since the your edit more-or-less fits into the page "as is," I am inclined to leave it there until such time as someone writes a description of collegiate Gothic that excludes Altgeld's stuff. But you can with all confidence (another of those "my opinon" things) link A's castles to Gothic Revival. If you have not already done so. Life is supposed to be interesting. [edit] Barnstar
| The Geography Barnstar | ||
| For first of all, seeing a previously unrecognized lacuna--the historical evolution of the 102 counties of the Great State of Illinois--and then, secondly, for filling the same, I award thee, Fishal, the Geography Barnstar. HuskyHuskie (talk) 01:31, 23 June 2010 (UTC) |
[edit] Ninian Edwards GA review
I think the lead is still too short. You need to at least cover his achievements during his political career. Malleus Fatuorum 19:51, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Your Nomination for Deletion of Paul V. Kane
Request you re-read the entry in question for "Paul V. Kane" and reconsider (or explain your logic after a re-read) your nomination and sppt for deletion based on closer reading of it. Thank you. 72.83.107.120 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:39, 12 July 2010 (UTC).
KEEP. This article was revised last week after nomination for deletion by Fishal.
It is clearly notable and worthy of inclusion on Wikipedia (recipient received a national award from the President of the United States), reliably sourced (Marine Corps Times et al) with multiple verifiable references, and without contention.
Fishal, suggest when you put something on the block for deletion that you re-read it after you hit the "Send" button rather than just posting a come lately reply. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.83.107.120 (talk) 12:43, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
[edit]
I noticed your suggestion for merging sports jinxes and sports-related curses. Considering that the former consists entirely of original research, would it be awful to simply replace the content with a redirect to the latter? At the risk of not assuming good faith, it seems like the article creator is just trying to get around the content disputes in the curses article. --Mosmof (talk) 05:00, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
[edit] reply
Sorry for replying late. I'll create some of those articles... so then the chicagoland riot template will be in place. (LAz17 (talk) 03:19, 16 July 2010 (UTC)).
[edit] Ninian Edwards GA
