Prince Harry

Hello. I'm just wondering why you reverted a correction I made to Prince Harry of Wales. Thanks. Inglok (talk) 12:00, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello, GimliDotNet/Archives/2013. You have new messages at Inglok's talk page. -- Inglok (talk) 16:35, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

The Fellowship of the Ring

Apologies for changing the indent to a bullet point! I was vying to list all the comments. Are you responding to the IP? You could do a bullet/indent for a proper response structure. Erik (talk | contribs) 18:21, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

Ah-ha, I see what you wanted to do now. :) Cheers! Erik (talk | contribs) 18:22, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
No worries, I always have trouble remembering how many colons to use! GimliDotNet (Speak to me,Stuff I've done) 18:25, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

RE UKIP analysis removal

I purposely removed the said analysis because I felt it was outdated. UKIP gained 3.0% of the national vote in the 2010 General Election, this is relatively small in comparison to 23% in the last Local Elections and in recent national voting projections. As you can imagine the demographics and characteristics of the parties support will have changed considerably since 2011 when that analysis was published.

The analysis was also lacking in impartiality IMO.

Sorry for any confusion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sunshinenevercomes (talkcontribs) 19:27, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

UK Independence Party

I think you are on 3RR over there. Darkness Shines (talk) 15:37, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

I am on 3, although if it where reported I would argue that I'm reverting vandalism (the deliberate attempt to subvert wikipedia buy removal of content in this case) GimliDotNet (Speak to me,Stuff I've done)

J. R. R. Tolkien categorization

If you mean by putting J. R. R. Tolkien in Category:20th-century British novelists when he is in Category:J. R. R. Tolkien, you are misunderstanding the issues there. When the "child category" is an eponymous category named after the subject of the article, it generally should be in any parent category directly. The no parent and child category rule does not apply to eponymous categories.John Pack Lambert (talk) 19:51, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

Warning to Atshal

Hi GimliDotNet.

Thanks for putting the warning on my page and letting me know about the revert rules. There appears to be some conflict with the user Emeraud, who was deleting a lot of the content I was putting up and which I reverted back - rather than me deleting other people's materials. No matter though. I have put up a little discussion on the talk page of the UKIP site with justifications and reason for the content I would like to include. Perhaps you might like to take a look, if you have an interest in it? Also, if you have time I would appreciate any overall comments on the changes I have made to the page over the last few days - I thought I was being quite neutral and have overall made the page better (especially the intro) but perhaps other people disagree with it?

Atshal (talk) 14:47, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

Been away and not aware of all this. I have today responded on the UKIP talk page to Atshal's objections to my edits, which have all been based on his/her misuse of reliable sources (e.g. misquoting, synthesis, OR, misrepresentation, etc) which I explained each time I edited. I have copies of the journal articles and have chacked the use to which they were made. Emeraude (talk) 12:17, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Incidentally, I notice that he has deleted the 3RR warning you put on his talk page, just as he deleted the note I left him about xenopgobia. Emeraude (talk) 12:22, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Hi Emeraud. I tend to delete everything on my page after a few days. If the 3RR thing concerns you so much, perhaps you should comment on the situation at the wiki admin page - the link was put on your own talk page. Atshal (talk) 15:13, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
