Spiderworld

I came across Spiderworld while cleaning music pages. It has limited info and was nominated for deletion once (it passed, with the person closing saying that they would become notable.) Years have passed and I'm not sure I can find anything that shows they have become notable. Far be it me to pick on obscure thin-line notable bands, but perhaps it should go through another AfD? -WarthogDemon 02:12, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Will do. Thanks. -WarthogDemon 16:42, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

The content has already been loaded and need some help with formatting and I am making a citation and resources to add in the next 24h. Any help would be greatly appreciated the link it's User:Elisabetaq/Sandbox:Sacha Blasi after it is complete I will need to move it to the main section. Thank you ahead of time,

I'm surprised that this new iteration of this socker was not blocked indefinitely right away. After his articles under another name were deleted in a discussion, he has constantly tried to repost them to the project with new accounts and has been blocked each time, and has now added the same junk information to his userpage, including templates and categories I removed because they aren't to be used in userspace. I would love to see all of these salted and this user blocked for continually rounding his indefinite block. Nate (chatter) 09:41, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Krackenhunter

I don't think the Krackenhunter article should have been deleted... It is the biography of an Xbox Live friend i have and its his interesting story about his name. Its just a short informational article on him that shouldn't break any policy violations. If you think its that serious then i understand but i don't see the harm in it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Krackenhunter (talkcontribs) 04:08, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

about mugabe and the white african...

you deleted an article that I had not even started yet.

I am a newcomer to wikipedia, I am interested in at least portraying an image of benevolance and fariness in my interest and work. Thus I wanted to create a page or stub that would provide people at least a basic amount of information about Robert Mugabe's documentary. I started it but then you delete it. May I ask ....why?

I just wanted to learn how to use infoboxes and put them on a page. I am very good at doing research and informing myself, furthermore I can put many better sources other than internet sources ...thus I was wondering if you could please let me express myself freely. Can I be allowed to create a stub article with some information about this upcoming documentary?? I have a couple of sources to site as references and thus I do believe I should be given a chance. {{hangon}} is a great button I guess.

Much regards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fuwikepedia (talkcontribs)

mugabe and the white african!!!

Hey!

but I don't think you understand- at all. I said that I had just started, you deleted the page even before I got the chance to get going. I mean, I have all of the references, sources and even a small book to put as a credible reference but you erased it before I even got into the infobox creation. Can I be allowed to try to start the article again? - The documentary is very real and relevant is going to air in many film festivals around the world and it is very relevant from many points of view. I understand that you HAVE to police new articles but the problem that I have with the deletion is that I never even got a chance to express what I was going to say. It is like having and essay deleted even before you get the write the essay and then you get told is no good. Well, how DO YOU know??- You have not even seen the end result yet and I did a search and there is no article for that movie: Muagabe and the white african. My English is good enough to understand and the way I write is in simplified form so everyone can understand what I write.

Can you give me a chance? I mean I did not even get to start, that is my point. Otherwise I am going to put a complaint about you.--Fuwikepedia (talk) 03:51, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

hey man...

that is so not fair... I wanted to start it up and then you started it before I did. I knew it met the standards. What kind of policing is that? - that is so biased. I guess I can contribute but I think that your first policy towards my attempt at creating an article about that film was biased because I was right at the begining... If you would have given me time I would have provided a similar article to the one you have created. Is there any sort of unspoken rule as to who can create and who is not allowed to created in an open wiki? Just for further reference, I mean... if I start something obscene then I can see your point of deleting however my first attempt was quite constructive and not vandalism. --Fuwikepedia (talk) 23:18, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Message from Modernyoo

For the Buddhism article I added a pic of a modern Buddha under "Buddhism today," which mentions Buddhism in the west. The pics there are of a monk using a cell phone and a relatively traditional statue of the Buddha. I think the pic I added has a lot more to do with Buddhism today than the other two, as the cell phone has nothing to do with Buddhism, unless he is texting sutras. A famous Zen teacher once said that Buddhism would never come to the west until the west started making their own Buddhas. I think the pic I added was better chosen to represent western Buddhism than the two that are there, which in a way are redundant to other pics already in the article. Can I put it back, or is this a problem? Modernyoo —Preceding unsigned comment added by Modernyoo (talkcontribs) 07:25, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Heal the World Foundation edits...

Hi Gogo Dodo,

Wow. I just typed a long talk message to you--and lost it.

I'm new to Wikipedia, and want to learn to do it right, so any and all help is appreciated.

Re: the page I just edited. I do know for a fact that people (3 that I know of) have been banned from the current Heal the World site for asking these questions:

"I think we would all love to see a picture of Michael with Melissa. Call me suspicious, but so many people have tried to trade on MJ's name and ideas... from the research I have done, Michael Jackson's Heal the World Foundation was administratively dissolved years ago, and Melissa bought the domains and trademarks. How do we know this is legitimate? I have never seen any picture of MJ and Melissa together. If she has worked for him for 15+ years--why not? If this is not a scam, where is MJ's endorsement? Where is the Jackson family? Where are MJ's friends who supported Heal the World? Many did, originally. I would LOVE to support the REAL Heal the World Foundation. How do I know this is it??"

And:

"The question is not whether there is another foundation or website with this name, but whether THIS foundation or website is the one that was actually started by Michael Jackson himself. Or is just a site being run by someone who has taken his name, posted some pictures of him, bought the domain name, and is using it to get donations, sell things, etc.--or to promote an ideological agenda that has nothing to do with MJ's ideals?"

These are some of the actual posts that were recently deleted from the site and the members who asked them were banned.

Yes, I know these people, but it is still the truth.

MJJ Community fan site (www.mmjcommunity.com) has a thread on Heal the World Foundation and they asked these questions before Michael Jackson died: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58378.

Melissa Johnson has no answers. She never answers the simple direct questions about why she has no proof or evidence that MJ ever even knew she existed. Here is her profile on Plaxo: http://www.plaxo.com/directory/profile/219044056454/a25d63e0/melissa/johnson. Not likely people would give her money if she did not use Michael Jackson's name so freely.

It is probably a scam, or at least an unbalanced fan. Either way, the concern is that she may be taking money from people under false pretenses.

One of our friends is a serious MJ fan and also a lawyer. He is going to start to rattle the sabers about this with the IRS and some other people this week.

It really is kind of disgusting to think of someone buying up MJ's domains and the Heal the World Foundation name and then using it to get money from grieving fans by pretending--false pretence--that you have MJ's blessing when he probably never heard of you.

Thanks for the talk; if you can tell me what else you want me to provide, I will do my best to do it.

Deletion of the start of an article - "Central Utah Relocation Center (Topaz) Site"

Warning: You are recreating a page that was previously deleted.

You should consider whether it is appropriate to continue editing this page. The deletion and move log for this page are provided here for convenience:

I had just started working on the page. You deleted it. So, how does someone go about creating a page, if you are going to delete it before it is finished?

This applies to both Gogo Dodo & Allen3:

I found both of these sites while perusing a series of pages listed on this main page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Register_of_Historic_Places_listings_in_Utah

They have a list of sites with a page for each county. Many of the locations have a link to a page with no content.

I did not count them all, but I would guess this group of article has links to several dozens of similar pages with just a title and no content. Both of the pages your two did SPEEDY deletions on, I found through this group of pages. If the rules say these pages should be deleted, then so be it. However, why is it that only the two pages I added photos to (and intended to return to shortly and start some content) have been deleted? If this is so important to you, why haven't someone gone through this to delete the rest of the other pages with no content?

Neither of you have explained this. You have provided adequate documentation allowing you to delete them, but no real comment as to why only the pages I started added content to were cut out. Is this something against me; something you automatic sensor only finds when someone adds something; or some other reason?

I am not complaining. I am just curious.

Thank you for your explanation.

I went back to the Millard County page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Register_of_Historic_Places_listings_in_Millard_County,_Utah) I mentioned above and found the following pages which contain only a title and no information. This was only on the Millard County page. The other county pages also had many pages with just a title. It was on two of these pages that I added a photo and intended to come back as soon as I could to add some details. It is obvious to me someone has plans to eventually add material to these pages. But for now, they are just pages with a title only:

Your analogy does not explain why all of the pages listed above are acceptable because they had no data whatsoever other than a title. Shouldn't the people who created those blank pages waited until they actually had something to put in those pages before they were created?

No further explanations are needed. I will not be adding anything to any of those pages.

Copy that … I just re-read WP:CSD#A9 and I guess I must have vapor-locked on the second criteria. :-) — 141.156.175.125 (talk) 05:25, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
No problem. It is a newer speedy deletion reason and the second part of the criteria catches a lot of people. You aren't the first and won't be the last. =) You can PROD the article as it does not state why the song is notable. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:27, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
OK … I stuck a {{Prod}} on both this one and Can U Keep A Secret, my other speedy (by the same author) that you declined last night. — 141.156.175.125 (talk) 16:46, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Message from Abalinx

Hi,

I am responding to my current page contribution being deleted. I have read the contents regarding contributions and I can see that I may have not followed the guidelines. The abalinx website is a series of sites and blogs using the abalinx website as their main resource. The site provides on line resources to three main not for profit sites.

They are the Veteran, Pellana and the Hellenic sites. As I am a keen Wikipedia follower I do not want to add or contribute information that contradicts the rules and ethics of Wikipedia. My initial page insertion was from the website which contained everything. Please note that whilst I was attempting to reduce the information, I pressed the save button on each occasion not to lose what I had edited thus far.

I have reduced the information as indicated below for your judgment. The three main areas of concern piggy back the Abalinx resources for ease of cost reduction and for no other reason. If after viewing the information you feel that it is not within the boundaries of Wikipedia, I will accept your response most heartily. Thank you for the time and effort that you all put into making Wikipedia a fantastic source of information. Please respond to abalinx@netspace.net.au

Regards and I look forward to you response.

English Defence League

You are identified as having deleted the topic "English Defence League" on 1st August.

"04:55, 1 August 2009 Gogo Dodo (talk | contribs) deleted "English Defence League" ‎ (A7: Article about an eligible subject, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject)"

FYI on Sat 8th August there was much media coverage in the UK of clashes and arrests following a confrontation between the English Defence League (an anti-islamic protest organisation) and the UAF (Unite Against Fascism) movement that organised a counter demonstration against what was perceived to be a provocative and race based protest in one of the most multicultural cities in the UK.

Examples of media reporting of the events: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/lawandorder/5999879/35-arrests-in-Birmingham-after-rival-protesters-clash.html http://uk.reuters.com/article/idUKTRE5772GK20090808 http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2009/08/10/the-battle-of-birmingham-115875-21586141/

I don't know what was on the original page, however you might like to reconsider its deletion as undoubtedly many people will be looking for information on the organisation, particularly now it and a similar organisations ("Casuals United") profile has been raised following the clashes with police and other protestors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.124.16.33 (talk) 12:56, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

I checked the deleted article history and at the time there was no indication of the group's notability as there were no included references to their activities. However, these new references could the necessary coverage to establish the group's notability. You are welcome to create an account and restart the article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 17:51, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Heal The World Foundation edits...

Hi GD,

Well, I don't know a lot more about how to submit a change to an article than I did last month, but I do have some independent sources to cite now, proving that the "relaunched" Heal The World Foundation has no connection to Michael Jackson' estate.

Contrary to what is currently posted in the Wikipedia article, the external link to the "relaunched" HTWF is NOT a link to "Michael Jackson's official Heal The World Foundation website".

CBS New article dated yesterday: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/08/11/cbsnews_investigates/main5234202.shtml

This article states "...representatives of the Jackson estate say the foundation is not linked, "The Michael Jackson estate has no connection whatsoever to the "Heal the World Foundation” run by Melissa Johnson," said Terry Fahn, a spokesperson for John Branca, the special administrator of the Jackson estate."

How do I correctly cite this and update the article so that grieving MJ fans do not end up at the scam HTWF site donating money to someone who is under investigation?

There is a post on the scam site today quoting Wikipedia as "proof" that they are legitimate and that CBS News is wrong.

Please help me edit this article the right way and I will post the CBS link stating that Jackson's estate has nothing to do Melissa & Co.

Thanks!!

I will now attempt to add edit the Heal The World Foundation article appropriately. Please look it over and tell me if I need to change something, or if I do something wrong.

It's my hope to really learn about Wikipedia and make contributions on a number of topics.

The editorial system seems to me to be excellent from the little I have experienced, but I know it must be a LOT of work. Thanks to you and all your peers for doing such a terrific job.

All41and14all (talk) 19:59, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

OK, the fact that Michael Jackson's estate says that is has NO connection with this scam site has already been removed since you reviewed it and cleaned it up a few hours ago.

What is up with this? Why can't we get these edits to remain on the page?

All41and14all (talk) 20:45, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

OK, I am completely finished with my edit. I hope I did it right this time, as I don't plan to edit this article again unless "anonymous" changes it one more time. Or if there is major news, of course.

You have been a true help, and I sincerely appreciate it.

Hi GD,

I can see that I put too many spaces between lines, and some other space-wasting practices. But I am really pleased that I did a successful edit!

Today I was talking with some people at work about how important Wikipedia is worldwide, and the general consensus is that it rocks. Not perfect, but hey--we're all human. Hands down, people love Wikipedia.

It is a very valuable resource. Right now, I can only think of one other completely free site that brings so much value to the whole world, and that's craigslist.

It's a wonderful feeling to be even a small part of this.

You have been a great help.

All41and14all (talk) 23:39, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

GD, one final HTWF note:

I didn't understand how the history page worked or I would have spotted MJkid earlier. MJkid is the user name of Melissa Johnson, of scam HTWF fame. This finally explains where all the errors in the Wikipedia Heal The World Foundation article came from. Looks like she has edited it repeatedly.

MJkid is Melissa Johnson's user name on her own website, and also on the well-known Michael Jackson fan site www.mjjcommunity.com. You can see she has recently "edited" (deleted as much as possible) her own posts under this name at MJJCommunity: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58378&page=2

About half way down the page, you will see a post from her from December 2008 which identifies her as the user MJkid, signed Melissa Johnson. She deleted the content of all of her posts on August 10, 2009 but could not get rid of them entirely.

This is not really important, but just FYI. I was pretty awestruck by the article history page. The more I learn about this site, the better it is.

Thanks for the encouraging words...

I'm out of town and not online very much this month. I just saw your response, GD, and I look forward to learning how to make continuing contributions here at Wikipedia. I have to start small, but I am already thinking of areas where I could perhaps contribute something meaningful.

One of the best things about this site is that everyone who uses it is constantly learning. I can't imagine anything more worthwhile.

Also, I think it is really important, the first experiences one has as an editor/contributor here. You helped me a great deal, and I have a positive view of all things Wikipedia because of it. Thanks.

Heal The World Foundation edits...

Heads up, GD. Just checked the HTWF article and saw where 'Mjkid' had removed my last edit where I clarified that there is no known relationship between the current HTWF and Michael Jackson.

'Mjkid' is the user name of Melissa Johnson, founder and President of the current Heal The World Foundation. It is her user name on her HTWF website:

Sorry for the length of this, but I copied this off her profile on the site because her HTWF website is blocked to everyone but members. Here's the link if you want to join and see for yourself: www.healtheworld.us. Find the CBS News Statement by her in the General Discussion forum and click on her profile. It will take you to the information above.

'Mjkid' is Melissa Johnson's user name at MJJComunity, a large and reputable UK fansite. On the 5th of this month, she edited (deleted) her own posts here, but she could not remove her user name and her signature: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/search.php?searchid=370185. You may have to register to see this link, but that is easy to do.

There are many other examples online of Melissa Johnson using the user name 'Mjkid'.

It seems to me that her edits of this article are intended to deceive the reader. The history of the article shows her edits have in fact deceived many readers, as CBS News and the Jackon estate pointed out last week.

I don't know Wikipedia policy on this sort of posting, but is doesn't seem OK to me.

I undid her edit because it is deceitful of her to try to hide the truth that she has no known connection to Michael Jackson.

Hi....

This is my first page and I was trying to pay homage to a fellow serviceman and Marine. Please forgive me if I made any mistakes. I should explain....

I firmly believe that if it had not been for him, servicemen lives would have been lost that day. Through his skilled shooting, he saved the lives of many. In today's world, people like this should be acknowledged..don't you think?

I really hope you think so and share my sentiments. Please let me know what I need to do to get him relisted.

University of the arts

I see now why what I did there was incorrect. So how could I go about having the "University of the Arts (Philadephia)" page take the place of the "University of the Arts" page, and have the "University of the Arts" page go into University of the Arts (disambiguation)? In my mind this would be a better thing since University of the Arts is a unique term that refers only to University of the Arts in Philadelphia and the other place refer to University of the Arts in other places which would be better suited by a disambiguation page.

Would people have to come to consensus first, and then what could I do to make this happen? Is it possible? it is really just a really small thing.

Watchlist Query

I think I have a problem with my watchlist, but I want to see if someone else has this before I report a bug. I recently just created an article, and added it to my watchlist but it's not showing up. I don't have my edits hidden so it should be showing up. Is your watchlist working okay? -WarthogDemon 22:41, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

That didn't seem to help. It also didn't work on any other main page articles I did, until just now where I made a dummy edit on a random article and put it on the watchlist. And after doing that with Berrytown, that worked too and now suddenly it's all working okay again. Weird. Anyways, thanks for checking. :) -WarthogDemon 18:55, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

RfA

Hi Gogo,

Thank you for your message.

Is I have said in my app, feel free to ask a question - there are no prerequisites for Adminship; and as such i would prefer is people bypass the typical prejudice of a "newbie" and actually see RfA's on a case-by-case basis.

I do appreciate your frankness on the issue but would obviously like people to investigate my suitability, not just if i pass non-existant prerequisites.

Thanks, happy WP'ing

Thanks!

Just checking in and saw your helpful (and educational--thank you) comments. I hope to be back home after Labor Day and plan to spend some time learning more about how I can make better contributions to Wikipedia.

I noticed on the news today that some of our editorial policies are changing. Please let me know if there is anything I specifically need to know about as a newbie.

GD, you have been a genuine help ever since I first attempted to edit an article earlier this year. Steady, consistent guidance such as you have provided to me is actually downright inspirational. This kind of dynamic learning is what makes the net in general and Wikipedia in particular so extraordinary, and I am looking forward very much to participating here however I can and may.

Essy

The article about Essy was deleted citing:

A7. An article about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability. This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software, or other creative works. The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source. The criterion does apply if the claim of significance or importance given is not credible. If the claim's credibility is unclear, you can improve the article yourself, propose deletion, or list the article at articles for deletion.

as the grounds for Speedy Deletion. Numerous websites/fansites (http://essyfanpage.webs.com/, http://essy.weebly.com/, http://essy.yolasite.com/, http://s1.webstarts.com/Essy/, http://www.wix.com/EssyFanCanada/Essy) exist for the minor model, perhaps the article was reaching, but I feel something should exist on wikipedia. DCowboys01 - disruptive???

Hi Gogo!

First, I want to let you know that I am not trying to be "disruptive". I am just learning how to be a contributor to wikipedia and apparently I am stumbling around like a bull in the "china shop".

I initially added a page under the user name Rhometea. I did this becasue when I was looking around I noticed there was a "list" of U.S. tea companies.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tea_companies

I have a small on-line tea company, and thought I would add my tea company to that list. When I attempted to edit however I noticed at the top of the edit page a notice that one needed to have an "article".

I therefore created an article modeling a few of the other tea companies listed. I labeled those companies to draw them to your attention as at the time I was not able to figure out how to communicate with you. I am glad you did get back with me.

I think wikipedia is a very cool tool, and would love to be a contributor, but I guess I am confused regarding this area. Am I to add Our Home Tea to this list in another way? Please advise. As I noted, I would like to contribute and thought I had a way - I was assuming we could add to articles as long as we are not advertising. My intention from the start was to simply add to a list of tea companies. I think another error I made was not using the "sandbox" as I had not completed the page before publishing. Again, if you can assist that would be great. Can you explain why those tea companies listed have not been deleted, when it appears they are doing exactly what I was doing - simply putting there names on a list.

Lastly - I did not change my user account to be deceptive. When I initially added my page a filter notice came up and mentioned that a user name similar to the subject could be problematic, so I changed my account.

thanks a lot - really feel bad about being a pain- an/all guidance is appreciated... DCowboys01 (talk) 00:27, 29 August 2009 (UTC)hans

Flagged Revisions

The link to the Flagged Revisions article was very helpful. I think most people in the media (and public) don't understand how Wikipedia works. (Not sure I do yet...)

What people do understand is how important it has become in all of our lives. Very few sites have the real world impact of Wikipedia. I think I have mentioned before that I think craigslist.org is the other site that would be hard to replace. If Google disappeared tomorrow, we would still search the net; with Microsoft, Yahoo, etc. that vaccuum would be filled overnight. If Wikipedia or craiglist disappeared... it would really hurt millions of people. It would not be easy to do without either one.

All of the media coverage about the changes at Wikipedia are tacit acknowledgement of the key role this site now plays in global culture and in all of our lives. Has anyone written an authentic history of Wikipedia yet? If so, how do I find it?

BTW, just saw that you were honored as Wikipedian of the Day on August 12th. Congratulations are in order! You do a great job, GD, and I know it cannot always be easy. However, it's always appreciated by those of us you take your time to help.

Looks like Black Kite restored Cameron Scott's definitive version of the HTWF article (see below). Good to see, and here's hoping that's the end of it.

Continuing changes to Heal the World Foundation article

OK, I just glanced at the Heal the World Foundation article--it has been hijacked by Melissa Johnson's foundation again.

I did not attempt to edit it, as I am over my head with this. Cameron Scott's edits were absolutely correct. I tried to post on his talk page, but couldn't figure out how to do it. Will you please see if Cameron Scott's final version of the article can be reinstated? There is no question that Melissa Johnson relies on Wikipedia to send people to her site to give her money, because she claims a connection to Michael Jackson's original foundation that does not exist.

There is no proof of any connection between the two, GD. This blatant, self-serving and false editing of this particular Wikipedia article needs to stop. Help, please.

All41and14all (talk) 02:46, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

I just posted this on Black Kite's talk page.
"It looks like you tried to roll the article back to Cameron Scott's final edit of the article. His 07:12 19 August 2009 edit was the correct version. I have been watching this article for weeks now, and there is a determined, concerted effort by Melissa Johnson's new foundation to pretend and claim a connection to Michael Jackson's original Heal The World Foundation that no one has ever proved to exist. Unsuspecting, grieving fans are finding Melissa's foundation through Wikipedia and donating money, believing it to be Michael Jackson's original foundation. This is wrong on a variety of levels.
Cameron's edit of 07:12 19 August 2009 made that distinction clear. The current version of the article is again unclear on this point.
Can you please reinstate Cameron's corrected version?
Thanks!"
Please look at the article history. The Cameron Scott edit of 07:12 19 August 2009 is the correct and definitive edit for this article. Can you and/or Black Kite get this version reinstated and locked? The confusion among fans worldwide is posted on every major fan site, and there is huge financial incentive for the current foundation to pretend to a connection to Michael's original foundation that has never been proven. There is no evidence that such a connection exists, and this needs to be made plain. Wikipedia is not an advertising venue for Melissa Johnson's new foundation, as much as she is trying to make it one.
Thanks for continuing to manage this process, GD. I really thought Cameron Scott had put an end to it on August 19th. Silly me.

In your opinion it was an opinion, you were wrong, you made multiple edits in one, that I didn't catch at first, I apologize for that causing this misunderstanding, but have the common sense to admit error and accept my apology. You keep deleting my Coal Bin Bros. page, but I don't see what it is that is so inappropriate about it. You have cited that the band needs to be relevant, which it is, as the CBB are on the Spade Kitty Record label which has it's own page, they are also available on iTunes and other legit outlets world-wide, and have pages on allmusic.com. The CBB have also appeared on a professional tribute album to the popular rock band, KISS. You have also mentioned a lack of a neutral perspective, but the only information given is that they are a band from Pennsylvania; I don't try to hide my involvement, I just want to create the page. If that is still unacceptable, I can request that Matt Walters, the CEO of Spade Kitty Records make the page. I'm looking to expand upon the entry in the Spade Kitty Records page to show the 2 albums available and the songs on them. I also believe the Coal Bin Bros. fit under this section of the requirements:

"Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster including several notable performers)."

With 2 albums under a record label that is worthy of inclusion on this website, I would like to make the case that the band itself fits this requirement and deserves a page.Nately120 (talk) 18:12, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Apologies

I saw absolutely no point in the page since for some god-forsaken reason it was about WOODSTOCK high school, Etowah's rival. Since they clearly have no respect for the page, I shouldn't have to either (not applicable any longer of course since you or another just fixed it). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Laughing-death (talkcontribs) 21:40, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Gah for some reason I couldn't find your page for a second there. No, your action was entirely correct and thank you for fixing it. It looks like it was edited again if that's what you were thinking... there are two "marching band" links and one of them is a link to some "seizure robot", or was that part of the reversion? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Laughing-death (talkcontribs) 21:48, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Why ?

How can you don't have No.1 Warez site encyclopedia in your website ???? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.82.91.103 (talkcontribs)

Because the notability of the site was not established. Additionally, most of the content of the article were personal attacks. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:53, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Message from LAlawMedMBA

I haven't read previous discussions about Occupation listings for contestants of Survivor. I know that Occupations are shown for other reality television programs, such as Big Brother (see Big Brother 11#HouseGuests). Such information may not always be accurate, comprehensive, or up-to-date, but I assume that anyone who reads the article and can provide better data should perform an edit. I am not sure why a policy should ever exist favoring the exclusion of obviously edifying material. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LAlawMedMBA (talkcontribs)

Terrible Policy

You seem to have nothing better to do than delete people's hard work. Eventually, when your vandalistic behavior subsides, I will add the valuable material that you obviously relish in desecrating. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LAlawMedMBA (talkcontribs)

Hopefully, freedom of expression still exists, despite your apparently suppressive efforts. I have no way to know whether you have a privileged status, such as a Wikipedia editor. If so, then you might have the authority to delete superior contributions, in favor of blatantly inferior and uninformative material, as you have demonstrated repeatedly. Unless you have a winning case of libel, I, an attorney, will stand by my previous communications without apology. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LAlawMedMBA (talkcontribs)

Lifescreen (band) page deletion

Hi there

I was wondering why this page was deleted as i thought it would be ok to put information about a band on this site

Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.2.210.204 (talkcontribs)

The article was deleted because the band does not currently meet the notability requirements for musical acts for inclusion on Wikipedia. For example, to be notable enough for an article, the band must have a hit single or album. Perhaps in the future if their upcoming album is a hit, the article can be recreated. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 23:47, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Re: Robert McMahon

Thank you for your direction to the appropriate page where I may be able to give testament to Robert Mc Mahon. I intend to do that.

But I would like to lodge a complaint against Wikipedia for publishing the most irresponsible nonesense I have ever seen in print. What I read today about Robert Mc Mahon is nothing less than the meanest lies than any liar could put forward in such a widely published forum such a Wikipedia.

Less that 10% of what I read was true, and the mistruths were as belittling and demeaning as they were false.

Yes, Robert "Frenchy" Mc Mahon was a mobster and a criminal, but I dare not list those who I know to be far, far worse a criminal or murderer than Frenchy, but who have no fear whatsoever of prosecution, let alone conviction of any crime.

If it is your goal to continue build Wikipedia as a method to teach lies and mistruths as fact, then I say to you, enjoy your success, and only, because you have that success.

Conversely, if you have any interest in the truth, it will take a far greater effort than what I have seen here tonight to present the truth to your readers.

But again, thank for providing me with the proper forum to tell the story that I know to be true about a man who I will always respect, but will always abhore the crimes he committed.

Update of Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Header

Hi, I made a post on Wikipedia_talk:Arbitration/Requests/Header. However, I suspect that no admins watch that page because it's protected. Would you please consider making the edit for me? Thanks! UncleDouggie (talk) 06:42, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

I think it would be best if one of the ArbCom Clerks or ArbCom members made such a change to the header. The format of the various ArbCom pages seems to have been reached through various discussions by ArbCom and I am a bit leery about changing it. Additionally, I think your bug actually has to do with the {{ArbCom notice banner}} as you appear to have just changed the CSS on the banner. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:48, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Will do. The {{ArbCom notice banner}} can work in some places. The problem on this page is that it overprints the navigation boxes. UncleDouggie (talk) 06:52, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I agree, it is indeed broken. CSS is so much fun some times. It's just a personal preference thing for me to request that you ask a Clerk to handle the change. Certain things I just don't like to touch. =) -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:59, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

article Hot Much

would you please be able to accept the article hot much as i believe it is a valid artice. it is a common phrase used in NZ and mainly in Timaru. If phrases such as Yea Boi can stay, why can't Hot Much.

I hope you see why hot much should be included.

the phrase is notable enough as it is usued widespread in New Zealand. It has a cultural impact on people as it is often used in funny situations with friends and at party's. Also it is use worldwide but it cannot be found on any other pages about from interpersonal relationship. This is a valid phrase okay! please let this article be used.

regarding hot much

because it is a pivotal phrase used by the youth of today's society, and it epitomises 'californication' or the superficial values we have adopted. it is needed in wikipedia. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by SofiaManteria (talkcontribs)

(interpeersonal relationship) the phrase is widely used in the world by bands, pupils etc. there has been no need for newspaper article about hot much or with it in it. it just a phrase widely used in a cultural way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SofiaManteria (talkcontribs)

hi, two IPs from portugal persist in their changes in the verwoerd article, which now reads like an apology of apartheid. i'm not sure if you're an admin or so. but i noticed that you joined in the article before. whats your opinion? --Severino (talk) 17:29, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Sorry for the trouble

I apologize to you for the bother. However, I don't see that I will get a fair shake at AN/I, so telling me to take my complaints about the block to AN/I, which ThaddeusB used effectively to shut me up with a block in the first place, is, in my opinion, like continuing the taunting that ThaddeusB and Abyssal are doing enough of without any help from anyone else. --69.225.5.4 (talk) 08:01, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

I see you got a new IP. I believe that if you present a clear, rational, non-combative message with diffs on WP:ANI, your issues will be heard. However, if you present a combative tone, then you will not be taken seriously. You were not going to "get a fair shake" by continued reverting of the IP talk page. Requesting an unblock on an already unblocked IP is not going to get you anywhere. An admin can not re-unblock somebody. That just doesn't work. I strongly recommend that you follow my advice. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:14, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
No, I think you might be giving good advice, but it would consume my time, and not gain results except more opportunities for other administrators and editors to take cheap shots at me. It gets tiresome, and I was stunned enough that ThaddeusB can get away with using my unblock request to continue taunting me, without having it proven to me he can do more, if I should post a complaint at AN/I. It's clear they regard their territory as their own and don't want any expertise, especially mine, so I can't do anything but let them crap up wikipedia.
My point of posting here was, however, simply to apologize personally to you, as you have had no involvement in the mess. As irritated as I am at any others, I had not business dragging you into it. Also, I did not see that you had posted the block notice on the IP I was currently using, rather than the one I was discussing--I create databases and the IPs change when I'm compiling code and reboot.
I'll edit golf and bolt-action rifle articles for fun in the meanwhile, and leave the creation of messes in paleontology up to the nonexperts. --69.225.5.4 (talk) 08:25, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
