[edit] Colbert vandalism
Can you please remove the Colbert vandalism from Bell (instrument)? Thanks. – Muboshgu (talk) 03:42, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
I notice that in this edit you removed genuine parts of the Bell (instrument) article. Please restore it what you've deleted. StAnselm (talk) 03:52, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- The only thing I removed other than very small, debatable changes was the {{for}} template, which I've now restored. Another admin has changed my protection to autoconfirmed only, so the article will be able to be worked on by almost all now unless an established account vandalizes it, which I was worried about. Grandmasterka 03:59, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, there was something else. My mistake. Grandmasterka 04:12, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Request for uninvolved admin to review page deletion discussion
Hello, I was wondering if you could lend a hand. I am currently in a discussion about a page deletion for the article Big Brother Australia 2012 and as an uninvolved administrator, I was wondering if you were able to review the discussion? Thank you. Bbmaniac (talk) 10:43, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion of the Article for Christian Rap Artist P.I.D.
I noticed by following the link from Christian Rap pertaining to the article for one of the first successful christian rap groups - P.I.D. - that the article had been deleted. In that they were one of the first commercially successful artists of that genre, do you think that they might qualify as a noteworthy artist with justification for an article? They had released five consecutive albums of material in the mid-1980s to 1990s, which was more than many early rap artists. Thank you for your time and consideration int his regard. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.160.26.12 (talk) 03:15, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- I deleted that five years ago! Ancient history... Anyway, if they were as notable as you say they are, I'm sure they'd qualify, but you will need sources to prove it. Take a quick look at Wikipedia:Notability (music) and Wikipedia:Citing sources and decide if you want to pursue it. Then you can create the article (you'll need an account for that) or I can restore the version I deleted and put it in a holding pen for you to work on until it's ready for prime time. The version I deleted doesn't say much though, just basically "these two dudes made a group and released some albums", which is why it was put up for deletion; articles about people or bands need to say why the subject is important, essentially. [edit] Excuse me?
I did look at ITN/C first, that's the first place I went. Did you? The Moose is loose! 03:31, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, sorry; I misspoke. I meant to say that you didn't read ITN/C first. -- tariqabjotu 03:36, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Portuguese translation
Hello. I was on Wikipedia:Translators available and notice that you were on the list for Portuguese to English translators and wondered if you could translate John VI of Portugal and/or Amélie of Leuchtenberg? Thank you or obrigado.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 00:10, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
- I'll take a look at it, though it's been years since I've done a translation. I was hoping to do Irineu Evangelista de Sousa, Viscount of Mauá but I still haven't done it five years later. The Moose is loose! 12:03, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] MSU Interview
Dear The Moose,
My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community HERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
So a few things about the interviews:
- Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
- Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)
- All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym) will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission to do so.
- All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.
- The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.
Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your name HERE instead.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.
Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) 07:26, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
