Cretaceous Period[edit]

Hi Gruekiller. Given that both Google Scholar and Google Books overwhelmingly support the assertion that the Cretaceous ended 65 million years ago [1] [2] rather than 66 million years ago [3] [4], what rationale are you using for replacing the former everywhere on Wikipedia with the latter? --Epipelagic (talk) 15:55, 13 December 2013 (UTC)

And it was my request, as I was then busy taking care of other things. The new age for the K-Pg boundary was proposed by Renne et al. (2013) which you'll see is cited in the Cretaceous article. In any case it was accepted in the newest edition of the ICS's The Geologic Time Scale (2012). I do hope it won't be too much trouble when Gruekiller starts hunting down any mention to the Tertiary that doesn't relate to the history of Geology as a science. --Dracontes (talk) 02:52, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. --Epipelagic (talk) 08:13, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
Heck - only just heard this. It's progress, but it does throw up so many problems - and not just on Wikipedia! Where there's space in relevant articles it makes sense to mention the sequence of date changes so as to help the hapless non-specialist who'll have encountered three or more different dates in different sources over time as regards certain boundaries. thanks Geopersona (talk) 06:37, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

You reviewed History of Proto-Slavic?[edit]

Wikipedia claims you reviewed this page but there's no evidence of you actually doing this. Where did this come from? Do you know? Benwing (talk) 03:52, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

  • I think that I was looking at the page-reviewing features and may have accidentally marked it as reviewed. I apologize if this caused any problems. Gruekiller (talk) 06:15, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 25[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Goa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dravidian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
