WikiProject Colorado[edit]

The year 2011 has brought many changes to the State of Colorado. Several users have asked us to reactivate WikiProject Colorado. We have a new Governor and other state officers, two new U.S. Representatives, many new state legislators, and a new Mayor of Denver. Many articles about Colorado need to be updated and many Colorado places, people, and organizations need new articles. Portal:Colorado needs some new featured articles.

Can you help us? Please see our list of some requested articles. If you would like to remain an active member of WikiProject Colorado, please leave me a message at User talk:Buaidh or e-mail me at Special:EmailUser/Buaidh. If you cannot help right now, you can go to inactive status and then reactivate your status later. Thanks for any help you can provide. Yours aye,  Buaidh  17:10, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProject Colorado[edit]

It was recently suggested that WikiProject Colorado, to which you are a member, may be inactive or semi-active and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. After reviewing the project it appears that there haven't been much active discussion on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. I have begun a discussion on the projects talk page to see how the members of the project feel about this suggestion. Another user has added the project to the WPUS template and I added it to the list of supported projects in the WPUS main project page but before I take any further action I wanted to contact each of the active members for their input. --Kumioko (talk) 23:33, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Whoa! Sikh practices[edit]

hello- template was tampered with, so you can revert your edits as I reverted my similar Crusoe8181 (talk) 06:34, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

all done- you were away Crusoe8181 (talk) 07:18, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, yes I was away. I thought it was something like that. Glad it is all sorted out. Grye (talk) 05:04, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

Mullen citation issue[edit]

I have undone your edit, as the citations that you refer to do not specifically cover the point about the two tricks being invented as part of the Questionable video part—if I am mistaken, please let me know, as this is my current understanding. Regards, --Soulparadox (talk) 03:57, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

I see you are correct, but... Why do you need a citation(s) so badly? It is common knowledge, and otherwise undisputed, that he first did it, and first performed it publicly in Questionable. So... really, what is your issue? Anyway, most of the citations I see are self-published, that is, on Mullen's website. When I have a minute I will dig another one up, & re-de-"citation needed" it. Grye (talk) 07:53, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
Soulparadox, I replaced your CN tag with 2 references. They are not great, but they are as good as most, and should suffice. NOTE also that Citation needed: When not to use this template is pretty clear on the also accepted MLA/et al practice, that ″Wikipedia's verifiability policy does not require reliable sources for common well-known facts.″ The facts here are common knowledge in the skater/skate fan world, and/or are easily verifiable by all with a search, which will not turn up any counter-arguement or challenge to him having invented these tricks, nor that he first publicly demonstrated them in this video.
Grye (talk) 23:45, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
I included this citation template so that the article is not only verifiable, but accessible to the general Wikipedia readership who is likely to be unaware of Rodney Mullen or skateboarding history—the vast majority of people in Asia, for example (the majority of the world's internet users), will have no idea of who Mullen is. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia resource—not a skateboard resource. Is this reasonable? I have edited the citations you inserted, as one contained numerous URLs, so I have specified the relevant ones. And you are right, these sources are, excuse the pun, highly questionable. Cheers,--Soulparadox (talk) 05:48, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Talking about bad refs, I do not know why you would use (change to) sk8erg!rl over zoominfo.com. Seriously, why would you do that? Why didn't you just do that in the first place, then? If you think she cited her page better, then go to those citations and use THOSE for your refs. And otherwise, I will try to take out spaces and use better date formats, thank you for the demonstrations. Grye (talk) 18:46, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
The sk8erg!rl source appears to have the information that you are referring to, whereas the zoominfo page has a collection of URLs and is, therefore, too vague to be useful. Is this reasonable?--Soulparadox (talk) 00:17, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Actually, their wording is almost identical. Also, zoominfo I think references sy8erg!rl, so... you're right. I apologize. She is quoting someone else though, & I would like to have the original... Grye (talk) 07:17, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

War of 1870[edit]

Hi Grye, I saw your edit summary here. You might just use the first page Taithe used the term. Parsecboy (talk) 20:06, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

Han jr, thank you. I thought of that, but the first (nor any) use doesn't actually say anything like "The Franco-Prussian War...often referred to in France as the War of 1870", rather Taithe simply uses the term. the occurances do show that Taithe often referred to it that way, but is that enough? 1930 US Census sheets[edit]

Who do you need looked up in the 1930 US Census? The page numbers don't mean anything anymore since they are all indexed by name and online. I have a subscription to Ancestry so I can find anyone for you or get the second page for anyone. Some are now free at Familysearch.com. I can find anyone in any census for you and send you the page. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 01:36, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

Ocimum tenuiflorum[edit]

Hi, I said cant say because I took that image infront of my house and my house is not in kolkota! Its a misleading information. Yes its an Ocimum tenuiflorum plant, no doubt. But it cant be claimed to be in kolkota. Actually the image link I have attached here is 1655 km away from kolkota! ShriramTalk 20:49, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

Ah --I see you are the author of the one image; and apparently the other image's author wrote only that it is "in a courtyard in India" in the image description. I returned it to your edit! Grye (talk) 21:03, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
I appreciate that! No offense!! ShriramTalk 14:31, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
