Mandolin brothers[edit]

Hello, GustavM, and welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Mandolin brothers, has been tagged for speedy deletion because its content is clearly written to promote a company, product, or service. This article may have been deleted by the time you see this message. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service. Thank you. Delete[edit]

A tag has been placed on Public radio fan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain web site, blog, forum, or other community of web users that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Public radio fan. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.John Reaves 02:53, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Merger proposed (Teddy Bear Review)[edit]

I propose to merge the content of Teddy Bear Review into here, since the notability of that article has been questioned. Actually, the Teddy Bear Review article is very short and could easily be merged into the company article.

Please add your comments below. Proposed as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 18:43, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Dr. Stanley G. Cohen[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dr. Stanley G. Cohen, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.ftc.edu/_print_version.php?/AboutUs/abo_president.php. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:25, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Information.svg Hello GustavM! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,427 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Stanley G. Cohen - Find sources: "Stanley G. Cohen" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 23:09, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

Charlie Rose[edit]

You may want to use Template:Charlie Rose view. I added it to Lily Rabe so you can see how it's done. Just search the Charlie Rose website for the name to get the id to use. Flatterworld (talk) 19:39, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Problems with upload of File:Westchester Magazine Best of 2010.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Westchester Magazine Best of 2010.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:06, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Ricard McGregor.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Ricard McGregor.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 22:49, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

March 2011[edit]

Your addition to Owsley Stanley has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. DKqwerty (talk) 16:25, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Matt Drudge[edit]

Please be mindful of our policy on living people (WP:BLP) and write neutrally, based on reliable sources. This edit was properly reverted. Such synthesis and commentary is not allowed in biographies of living people. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 14:04, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 21[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited June Schlueter, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Provost (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Replaceable fair use File:StavaRESTX Peter.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:StavaRESTX Peter.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. Proposed deletion of Tyler Bryant[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Tyler Bryant has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. All coverage is local or promotional in nature.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. August 2013[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Chronic fatigue syndrome, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. sciencewatcher (talk) 15:26, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Westchester Magazine Best of 2010.png)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:Westchester Magazine Best of 2010.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 15:53, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Nell Lake[edit]

Hello GustavM,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nell Lake for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. WMartin74 (talk) 18:29, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Nell Lake[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Nell Lake has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article fails to cite any sources that is non-dubious, and does not meet criteria for establishing notability. Written slightly ambiguously like an advertisement, including links such as the person's Facebook and Twitter accounts. Strong candidate for deletion.

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.Hi. You have had a long history of doing this. Please don't. Z10987 (talk) 12:56, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

I have never uploaded copyrighted imagines, the imagine of Peter X. Kelly was submitted by Peter for inclusion with the articles with his complete permission. Any other photos have been taken by me, so there was been any issue concerning the use of copyrighted photos by me.
