September 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article R46 (New York City Subway car), please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to R46 (New York City Subway car). Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Acps110 (talkcontribs) 01:23, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to R46 (New York City Subway car). It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 01:24, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page that you created was tagged as a test page and has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — This, that, and the other (talk) 23:53, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

December 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Dutton Penguin. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. —SW— communicate 14:28, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

I've removed the deletion template from the Dutton Penguin article, as well. If you'd like to nominate the article for deletion, please follow the steps at WP:AFD or post {{helpme}} on this page and ask for assistance. You can also seek assistance at WT:AFD. Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited WNYW, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ray Kelly (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WNYW[edit]

Information.svg Hi, Heyrubengarcia! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edits to WNYW, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edits had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept unsourced material or original research. This includes material lacking cited sources, or obtained through personal knowledge or unpublished synthesis of previously published material. Wikipedia requires that all material added to articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here.

Also, as a general rule, in the body of an article, single-digit whole numbers from zero to nine are spelled out in words, and numbers greater than nine are commonly rendered in numerals, as per WP:ORDINAL. More importantly, keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a periodical such as a newspaper, and therefore, material should not be written in a dated manner. Specifically, the phrase "3 months ago" should be properly written "three months earlier".

If you have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 11:43, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
