Hello.

Just today, I've created a screenname.

I have been led to Wikipedia by various searchengines in the last three years. I have, increasingly, specifically searched your website in isolation.

So, yes, there is very much that I do like about it.

However, it is largely a compilation of negative experiences that have resulted in my registration.

Yesterday, I'd encountered something that I'd perceived as racist. It had not been the content; it had been the manner in which the content had been assembled, organized, arranged, employed.

Well, I had interpreted it as insulting. A photograph of two men had been placed near the title "Communism vandal", where they were not.

There are, as well, many issues of disability-access, much like elsewhere on the internet, & throughout Earth, in all circumstances.

I do advocate a disability-wiki, in order to attempt to resolve these sorts of issues.

I had attempted to locate a comment-page; but, it does not work. The manner in which someone had added the above photograph had caused me to think that they are vandals.

It is, instead an insult to them. It is, as well, an insult to disabled, as well as AfroAmericans, as well as multiple-birth-siblings.

Was someone attempting trifecta-racism?? How can you be racist, let me count the ways??

Thank You. This website often seems like a series of impenetrable fiefdoms. For me, however, much of its draw is the sense of the many thousands of historical tidbits that I've learned, & wished that I could haave learned similarly as a child, from the "school system". You keep placing that throughout my messages, everyplace where I employ the title-function. I've been doing that for emphasis. I do do it that way, due to my disabilities, & that is simpler than the other functions which require

more memorization,

& more typing.

But, just one of the many forms of racism, wiki does not believe in disability-access, which is summed in a concept called "handicappism".

Although these biases are bothersome, I have others on which I do obsess more, particularly regarding this photograph.

Please note that in the manner in which it had been presented, where I had originally seen it, on a "policy" page, they had been made to appear as each of:

vandals;

sockpuppets;

thieves;

communists;

others that I can't recall,...

Something seemed displaced, so, I looked closer.

I, suddenly, realized that they had been:

AfroAmerican;

twins;

disabled. None of the other [previous] categories seemed worthy.

I, therefore, felt that this would be confirmation that wiki, Mr. Wales, whatever, are:

handicappist;

antitwin;

racist.

Handicappism is a sort of racism directed @ oppressing disabled, opposing disability-access, enforcing bigotry, discrimination. Try asking politically-active disabled regarding the reaction to handicappist, handicappism.

Please note that it is not likely that these men even would know that we've written about them.

It is very clear that regarding a variety of issues, many of us are very opinionated, including myself. We, frequently, find ourselves posting our political perspectives on the articles.

I, hereby, request & propose that there would be one, or several, wikiprojects designed to be where we would debate. Each such debate page should be tied to similar debate pages, on similar issues. Each such page, should, as well, be tied to the corresponding article pages, in appropriate clusters.

In this format, pages describing Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, North Africa, Southwest Asia, as far as Bangladesh, Islam, energy-policy, et al, might all be connected to politic pages in various corresponding clusters.

How would you modify, evolve, this proposal??

Furthermore, regarding the failed page that you recommend, & all other related failed policy pages:

They have not diminished bias, discriminination, oppression, racism, classism, handicappism, sufficiemtly to make them worthy to me.

There is so much bias, such a deletion-inclination, that I discourage anyone from creating articles. Supposedly there is all of this about attempting editing first; however, that's rarely practiced. Only "good" people get to create.

Anyhow, that has little to do with my herein proposal, to which you do misleadingly respond.

My proposal had been that wherever difficult articles lead to spirrited political discussionpages, that those articles would lead to wikiprojects designed to accomodate that political-overload.

Now, if you would respond on-topic to that, & how it would affect the Lebanon-article, the Lebanon-discussion, & similarly political-articles, I would appreciate that. I am attempting to improve these by suggesting an outlet-project for some of this overflow.

There should be a netural point of view in this wiki article as the real kidnappers are from Israel as the foolowing will show Israel Kidnapping activities BEFORE the conflict.

According to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which carries a helpful if damning account of the kidnapping on its website, "Israel had hoped to use the sheikh as a card to affect an exchange of prisoners and hostages [held by Hizbollah] in return for all Shiites held by it."

So brazen was Israel's action that the United Nations Security Council unanimously passed a resolution (No. 638) calling for the "immediate safe release of all hostages and abducted persons, wherever and by whomever they are being held." Needless to say, Tel Aviv ignored the resolution. After all, kidnapping non-combatants, including minors, and holding them hostage, was an integral part of Israel's military strategy. In May 1994, Israeli soldiers abducted a prominent Lebanese businessman and former commander of the Shia Amal militia, Mustafa al-Dirani, and brought him into Israel. The aim of that kidnapping was to try and get information about the location of Ron Arad, an air force navigator who had been shot down over Sidon in 1986 during Israel's ongoing aggression against Lebanon.

Mr. Fahaf, whose presence Israel refused to recognise for years, spent 11 years in jail before the Supreme Court finally ordered his release. He was allowed to return home along with 18 other Lebanese nationals who — the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported in August 2003 — had been held "according to the official version ... as `bargaining chips' for Ron Arad". Two of those released had been kidnapped as boys and had grown into adulthood in captivity

Israel continues to receive billions of dollars as direct aid. Our country has donated more money to Israel than to any other country in the history of the world -- over $3.5 billion per year, everything included. If not for our extravagantly generous gifts to Israel, every family in America could afford a brand new Mercedes Benz. Surely the American people would be outraged if they realized their hard-earned money is being squandered and used to buy deadly armsin these difficult times.

Similarly on the "female cyclist vandal" page a picture of a female cyclist does not imply that the the vandal is either a female or a cyclist, (although both are possible), that the kitten vandal is a kitten and so forth. There is no need to open a discussion regarding the page as it stands: it was an A1/A3 speedy -- I didn't delete it as an "attack," despite the tag somebody put on it. You have not offered an explanation of the purpose of the page, and I still cannot make sense of it. As I've said, I'm happy to help, but you'll need to explain what you were trying to do with the page. I make no apology for deleting nearly meaningless text, and for being reluctant to discuss it, for I have no idea what I'm discussing.

These suffixes are not able to be interpreted by my browser, but I assume they are Arabic. Chances are it's nothing unusual. ie. Hi, regarding your message on my talk. There was no need for those links. In the Muhammed Ali article there already was in the lead a link to Cassius Marcellus Clay (abolitionist). To have a special section on that seems excessive. The link you added in the Cassius Marcellus Clay (abolitionist) was in references, a link to a disambiguation page is not a reference. I figured out what style orthodox is. It's "orthodox boxing" style. I am not a boxing expert so don't ask details. :) So I would leave it as it is. Concerning the browser style issue. Just remove the link, and resubmit. The current way of doing it encourages people to actively remove spammy links, rather than letting them stay there. If that page has character substitution suggestions, then I could not locate them on the various occasions when I'd tried it. Wherever it would be, that's what I would need.

Although raw signature does make a change, it's too far in the opposite direction. When I'm on an unsigned page, I often need something that I can quickly copy|paste, in order to distinguish what I've scribed.

This has been far faster than anything else that I've tried.

So, halfway between raw, & not raw, would be my preference.

Actually, I've confronted many problems on this website, which are largely ignored.

I could not figure why my text has been so scrambled,

nor could I figure what had added the deletion-code,

so, I had to revert it.

I do not like reverting my writing,

&, I do not like reverting other persons' writing, even when people are extemely nasty, & insulting.

But, there had been no other method to correct many of the formatting probelems.

Additionally, the various initial problems that had begun the past couple of days of blocking, are, in no way resolved,.... Not @ all.

These people claim to repair problems; but, they are fraudulent.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I have two guesses so I'll explain both.

First, if you are talking about the sandbox header being protected, it is because it's meant to explain the sandbox, not be a part of the sandbox. If people were to mess with the header, others might not understand what the sandbox is all about.

Second, if you are talking about a template you saw in the sandbox (such as {{vprotected}}), it was probably just added by an experimenting user and doesn't really mean the sandbox is protected.

This link can be used to reset the sandbox to its standard state. Otherwise, the Sandbot will automatically reset the sandbox every twelve hours.

If that didn't answer your question, feel free to explain in greater detail what you mean. Also, you may want to consider changing your signature, as currently it contains a lot of useless code at the end. If you need help with that, feel free to ask. Happy editing! Proposal to discourage changing the background color[edit]

Some time has passed since the straw poll on images in sigs. and people seem to have survived this transition. Now I'd like to propose taking the next step and adding wording to the guideline to strongly discourage blocks of color or setting the background color in sigs. These sigs are unnecessarily disruptive and distracting on talk pages, in much the same way that images are/were disrupting. I propose the following change to the section on Appearance and colour:

Your signature should not blink, or otherwise inconvenience or be annoying to other editors.

Markup such as <big> tags (which produce big text), or line breaks (  tags) are to be avoided, since they disrupt the way that surrounding text displays
Markup that sets the background color such as  or  tag (which produce text with a coloured background) are to be avoided, since they are distracting
Be sparing with superscript or subscript. In some cases, this type of script can also affect the way that surrounding text is displayed
Avoid making your signature so small that it is difficult to read
In consideration of users with vision problems, be sparing with colour. If you must use different colours in your signature, please ensure that the result will be readable by people with colour blindness.

There are various words which have vastly disputed spelling. Is there some way that this website can better respect that virtually any word can be variously represented? Please note plough, plow,... as well as colour, color {above}.

Respecting issues such as color blindness is excellent; but, how is someone to judge good color versus bad color?... Unless there is a comparison-chart?

As f/ background color, there are likely a variety of cases where this element has caused some persons to find the signature illegible.

One option is to delete color from both the background & the font regarding signatures.

You may have a slight misconception. I am employing a ten year [or so] old machine. My edits are largely what I type; but, the thing freezes, crashes, on large pages, which is likely what your reference is. It, as well, would freeze &/or crash f/ whatever other use might annoy it.

As f/ corrupt edits, although mine seem to come-through fine; however, it converts foreign characters on the page to question marks, ?. Characters of France, Spain, seem to rarely get deleted.

Please, if I cannot go to that page, how might I convince this machine to only concentrate on what I typewrite?

We do need a better signature solution,....

Every time that a talkpage, discussionpage, is edited, a signature should automatically attach to the bottom, unless the message-author would otherwise set the parameters.

Five unsigned messages in one week, & their parameters would be overridden, for six months.

If you would all sign then I could shorten my signature, or employ one of those art illegible signatures, w/ the silly offensive colors, tiny characters,.... & several of the other qualities that make the pages unreadable.
