Greetings Hugh! Nice to see you here. (BTW, I'm moving your comment on the X-ray astronomy talk page to the end—the standard convention on Wikipedia, to keep things from getting hopelessly scrambled. This goes for new sections, and also within a section or thread.) Cheers, -- Bill Wwheaton (talk) 22:48, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

OK, nice to be here, thanks! Hugh Hudson (talk) 20:23, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

X-ray astronomy discussion[edit]

Hi Hugh, Marshallsumter seems to be slowing down on X-Ray astronomy, and there has been a note put on the astronomy project talk page. I've just made a proposal for a general organization scheme on the article talk page, but it needs other heads to weigh in. Take a look if you get a chance. Thanks, Bill Wwheaton (talk) 23:34, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Sunspot[edit]

What we ought to do is ask on TtheC's talk page to discuss the issue, on the article talk page, rather than re-introducing the offending sentence. Policy is on our side, I think, because he's adding uncited trivia, but we ought to solve it by discussion. I'm somewhat at fault here for not trying to start a discussion, but it's very wearing to go and try to reason about policy with every mule-headed POV-pusher (which TtheC may or may not be) about crap article additions.

I'm away from home over the holiday period, and not able to participate very much at the moment, I'll be more active after the new year.

Have a good one, Squiddy | (squirt ink?) 12:38, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

I've also asked him on his talk page to discuss, and I've started a section on the article talk page. Frankly I doubt it will do any good. Taurusthecat doesn't edit any other articles, he just repeats that one edit, and I doubt he will be reasonable about it. The next step would probably be to ask for advice at the administrator's notice board WP:ANI if the disruptive editing continues, I suppose. The area is fraught to say the least, because it is within the field of climate change (broadly construed), and everyone is supposed to be on best behaviour.
I thought TtheC was getting bored of it, maybe he was only on holiday. We'll have to see. Cheers, Squiddy | (squirt ink?) 14:05, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Carrington rotation, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bartels (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
