Talk pages are for discussing articles: I assume you'd put the content there by mistake, and it didn't seem appropriate to just copy across to the article. Looking again at the article you're right that it doesn't mention geotagging at all, so I've added a brief mention of it to the "Features and tools" section - there's no need to explain geotagging from scratch, we can just link the reader to the geotagging article if they want to learn more.
