The article Rigzin Spalbar has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:06, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jahangir Niyaz,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Hotel The Grand Dragon Ladakh, may be copied from http://www.travelladakh.com/hotel-dragon.html. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 16:42, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hotel The Grand Dragon Ladakh, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Some things aren't allowed...[edit]

You copied your article from the hotel's website. Unfortunately, that meant you were breaking two of our rules. One is that you can't copy text from outside into Wikipedia. If it's been published somewhere - book or website - it's copyright. Wikipedia is licensed for free use anywhere by anyone, but the hotel's website isn't licensed in this way. Apart from that, it is very promotional, and we don't allow things that look like advertising. Of course it's promotional - that's the whole point of having a website. But this is an encyclopaedia and we want things to be notable and neutral. The hotel may be notable, I don't know. But an article about it must be neutral in tone and have references that fit with WP:RS (our policy on reliable independent sources. OK? I'm not trying to put you off editing - just to help you to get it right. Peridon (talk) 18:01, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hotel Dragon[edit]

You need to edit this quickly or it WILL be deleted for being a ad for the hotel, for not being notable and for being a copyright violation. If I don't report it, someone else will.-- 🍺 Antiqueight confer 19:10, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hotel The Grand Dragon Ladakh is not advert and its not copy[edit]

i am new to Wikipedia and since few days i am editing articles related to my region ladakh, such as govt organisation, famous politician, upcoming events, famous places.

hence Hotel The Grand Dragon ladakh is very distinctive hotel where all the major events are organised and where all the famous people stay and above all its architecture is blend of traditional as well as modern..and its unique because it is in high altitude region of ladakh at elevation of 11300 feet operates in very extreme climatically challenged weather conditions temperature drops around -35 Degree. there is no such intention to promote this hotel is it obviously landmark in history of ladakh tourism.

it is similer to this page which glorifies its dignity

Please read this carefully[edit]

The Paris Hôtel de Ville is not a hotel in the English sense. It is the Town Hall of the City of Paris, and the article about it is not promotional, and is not a copy of anyone else's work. Your article was a copy of the hotel website. That is not allowed. The wording is promotional - as I said above, websites are often intended to promote their owners' businesses. That's why they have them. Whatever your intention is, you must NOT post that here. You are not in trouble, and you won't be if you listen to what we are telling you. You will be in trouble is you ignore us and you go on posting the article like it was. If you don't understand what we are telling you, please ask us to explain it again. Peridon (talk) 19:43, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Chief Executive Councillor has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No notability, a job title. WP:NOTDICDEF seems to apply here.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Although this term is referred to within a few books, I'm not sure that it satisfies the notability requirements. Therefore I've redirected it to Indian order of precedence. I hope that makes sense. Cheers. -- Trevj (talk) 20:48, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kalachakra 2014 Info[edit]

I removed some information that I believe you added relating to the Kalachakra 2014 event. Information about upcoming events is generally not suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia articles. I'd encourage you to continue to contribute as we definitely need more coverage of under-represented areas like Ladakh, but I understand that the large number of policies and conventions that govern contributions can be confusing for newcomers. Feel free to contact me if you have questions by editing my talk page. --Spasemunki (talk) 08:50, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Wani (caste) for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Wani (caste) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wani (caste) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. --Bejnar (talk) 23:52, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Meenakshi Shedde[edit]

The article Meenakshi Shedde has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG. No independent, reliable references about her. One cannot use references that she wrote.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
