Sandbox moved[edit]

Hi, I moved the page you made into your user space, at User:Jennifer Brooks/Sandbox. Not sure what it is, but someone would have deleted it since it was in "article space", where only encyclopedia articles go. Hope this helps. Friday (talk) 18:28, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Health Wiki Research[edit]

A colleague and I are conducting a study on health wikis. We are looking at how wikis co-construct health information and create communities. We noticed that you are a frequent contributor to Wikipedia on health topics.

Please consider taking our survey here.

This research will help wikipedia and other wikis understand how health information is co-created and used.

We are from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Our university research committee approved the project.

Thanks, Corey 15:40, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

for the record[edit]

I have not been a "frequent contributor to Wikipedia on health topics", except that I may have added punctuation or fixed a spelling. I never took the survey. Jennifer Brooks (talk) 18:02, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dealing with vandalism[edit]

Hi! I saw on the article Pink (singer) you'd noticed recent vandalism, and responded by adding 'strikethrough' tags. It's usually considered better to simply remove the vandalism altogether, and add a warning on the talk page of the person who added it (I've just done this). See Wikipedia:Vandalism#Dealing with vandalism. If you're unsure how the article is supposed to look, use the 'history' tab to see previous versions of the page (and revert to them, if necessary). Thanks for reading. Terraxos 03:01, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP meetup[edit]

Sounds like Sunday, September 16 is the best day for a September SF-area meetup -- hope to see you then! Check the meetup page for details and to suggest a location and time. -- phoebe/(talk) 04:57, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jennifer,
I like the Yerba Buena gardens suggestions -- I'm not super familiar with the area; which one of the two locations you proposed is better for extended hanging out? Let's plan for about 25 noisy people, and we'll want to sit around a big table. -- phoebe/(talk) 21:58, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:04, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wake The Dead[edit]

I'm starting in on an article about the Celtic Rock/Grateful Dead Jam Band and their eponymous (God, I love that word!) first album. If/when I get them near completion, I have some ideas about how to arrange the various pages into the Wikipedia name space. More later... Dawfedora (talk) 07:36, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
