Speedy deletion nomination of Template:QSR Restaurants[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:QSR Restaurants, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Unused template. No links. Company doesn't even have a WP article.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. ...William 17:10, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

The template is a template to create other templates. QSR means quick serve restaurants the industry term for fast food restaurant, it isn't a chain or business. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 22:12, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
Contact the administrator who deleted it. Is it being used?...William 00:52, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Pizza Hut[edit]

Care to explain your reversion of my edit? I replaced a dead URL with a working one, and undid an edit that had changed content to contradict the cite (or at least the live one I found...dead one doesn't appear to have content in the wayback machine). DMacks (talk) 18:38, 13 February 2014 (UTC)

I didn't do that, my laptop is at home. I have been at work for the last 12 hours- I am thinking the three year old at home may have been using the computer and randomly clicked a link while trying to get to ABC Mouse. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 07:22, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Adrianne Wadewitz edit-a-thons in Southern New England
Wikimania 2012 portrait 102 by ragesoss, 2012-07-13.JPG

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Massachusetts Turnpike[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Massachusetts Turnpike requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Nobscot station[edit]

Hello! Where are you basing this edit on? All the evidence I can find indicates that it was destroyed - it is listed as so on the Lightlink site, and the Roy book does not list it as extant. Thanks, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 17:18, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

it is still there on the west side of Elm st between saxonville and the hultman aqueduct. I know the family that used to live there. I can get a picture if you'ld like. Also, the Nobscot station is also still around. It was moved across the street when the owner of the property it was on died. He was using it as a garage, it sits on the north side of Water st, next to the Hemenway School. Use street view on Google maps to see them. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 17:37, 14 November 2014 (UTC)
I assume this is the first building you are referring to? It does appear to be a former railroad station; however, it doesn't match any of the images I've seen of Nobscot/North Framingham. I cannot find the building next to Hemenway School. Can you provide a picture or a Street View link? Thanks, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 08:13, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
yes, that is the old Saxonville station. The Nobscot one is not available on street view, I'll see if if I can gat an image today. While I grew up in the area and still work there, I do live around there anymore and don't get to that side of town anymore. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 18:31, 18 November 2014 (UTC).

Replaceable fair use File:Whopper bar.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Whopper bar.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 17:38, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
