Speedy deletion of Anya Verkhovskaya[edit]

Hello Jmta16, this is a message from an automated bot to inform you that the page you created, Anya Verkhovskaya, has been marked for speedy deletion by User:Astronaut. This has been done because the page is a blatant advert that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article (see CSD). If you think the tag was placed in error, please add "{{hangon}}" to the page text, and edit the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. If you have a question about this bot, please ask it at User talk:SDPatrolBot II. If you have a question for the user who tagged the article, see User talk:Astronaut. Thanks, - SDPatrolBot II (talk) on behalf of Astronaut (talk · contribs) 17:53, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please note I have deleted your very rude note on my talk page, and from some of your comment on the article talk page. Perhaps you should read Wikipedia's policies on civility and personal attacks before editing people's talk pages again. The message above could be worded better but it has been left by an automated bot and without my knowledge. If you have complaints about the wording of the bot's message, it is better to take it to the bot's owners.
The reasons for me seeking the speedy deletion of the Anya Verkhovskaya article is that it appears to be very much like a resume, listing Ms. Verkhovskaya's achievements and saying nothing else about her. She may well be notable, but Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a place to post a resume, act as a web-host or a means to promote somebody or something. Incidentally, I'm not the only one expressing these views; see User talk:Anyaverkhovskaya, the original author of the article.
As for your explicit complaint of me being like a ‘Monday Morning Quarterback’: The Anya Verkhovskaya article came to my notice back in November and has been on my watchlist ever since. When it was undeleted on 9 Jan 2010, I did nothing because changes were promised. However, a few days later, someone else proposed the article for speedy deletion and it was deleted for a second time on 12 Jan 2010. Now four months later a similar article (I am working on memory here as I have no means to actually see the previous versions of the article) comes back again and again it reads like a resume. Seeking the speedy deletion of promotional content is not an unreasonable action. If you believe I have a negative tone, I would be happy to discuss this in a civil manner if you open a new discussion on my talk page.
Anyway, this point is moot. Admin Nihonjoe declined my speedy deletion and removed the notification 10 hours before you flagged it with {{Hangon}}. That said, I will keep the article on my watchlist and consider whether to take it to AfD. Astronaut (talk) 17:56, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Anya Verkhovskaya[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Anya Verkhovskaya. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anya Verkhovskaya. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:06, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
