Sambas Treasure[edit]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sambas Treasure, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.britishmuseum.org/explore/highlights/highlight_objects/asia/s/silver_buddha_on_a_bronze_lotu.aspx.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Copied from your Commons talk page[edit]

Many thanks for these great images, and the articles you make using them, but please categorise them, or no-one will ever find them (except me). I suggest just adding one or two categories at the upload point, and further ones when the upload is finished, using the Cat-a-Lot tool (see your Preferences). I would also create a hidden category "Photos by Jononmac46", or sub-cats by date or location, which makes it easy to group them. All British Museum rooms have their own categories, which is an excellent start, and easy with the upload tool. Ideally many photos would go in about 5 categories, but by museum, by period/type of material and type of object will often cover the most important. Also I wish you would crop some a little tighter. This is really easy with the Crop tool. They appear so small on WP it's very important. I'm delighted to see someone else interested in ancient/medieval metalwork, & producing such excellent shots. Ways to improve Beaurains Treasure[edit]

Hi, I'm JacobiJonesJr. Jononmac46, thanks for creating Beaurains Treasure!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi, Beaurains Treasure has inline citations, but you did not link them correctly. I cannot know which book in your bibliography each piece of information can be attributed to, so they are unverifiable. Please fix the ref links Thanks

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. JacobiJonesJr (talk) 00:34, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

Edit summaries, multiple consecutive edits[edit]

Hello, Jononmac46. A couple suggestions for you to consider that will make it easier for us all to work together:

  • Please make a habit of providing an edit summary when you make a change to an article. Doing so makes it easier for your colleagues here to understand the intention of your edit.
  • Plus, it will be easier for you and your co-editors to collaborate on articles if, instead of making multiple consecutive edits in rapid succession on an article, you use the "Show preview" button to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits. This keeps the page history of the article less cluttered.

Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 01:43, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
