July 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Oil platform may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • Separates gases as they come from the surface]].
  • [[File:Types of offshore oil and gas structures.jpg|thumb|600px|center|1, 2) conventional fixed platforms; 3) compliant tower; 4, 5) vertically moored tension leg and mini-tension leg platform; 6) Spar ; 7,8) Semi-submersibles ; 9) Floating production, storage, and offloading facility; 10) sub-sea completion and tie-back to host facility.<ref>{{cite web | author=Office of Ocean

Geology articles[edit]

WP articles are normally text-based, with illustrations used as needed. The illustrations in your articles are appropriate to the subject, but they need to be explained further, in text, not just with lettering on the figure. Additionally, they are needlessly large, and will cause trouble to people with smaller monitors. If you set them for a smaller fixed width, they will still display clearly, and anyone wishing to see them larger can simply double-click on the illustration. The way they are handled in your earlier work at Eagle Ford Formation is a good example.

BTW, if you wish to use your own previously published work in WP,you need to 1. be certain that you are the owner of the copyright, rather than an employer or publisher, and 2, follow the exact procedure at WP:DCM. DGG ( talk ) 23:28, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Please provide WP:reliable sources to support your edits, only base your articles on published information and avoid using your own research (see WP:OR) unless it is published elsewhere. Vsmith (talk) 14:27, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Wireline logs[edit]

Hello Joshua Doubek,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Wireline logs, may be copied from http://www.geomore.com/electric-logs/. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 19:33, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Image help[edit]

Hi Joshua,

Someone has asked a question about the photograph File:Victim_of_Leprosy.JPG in the discussion at WPMED. If you get this message, could you let us know how you got the photo and why you think the person in it has leprosy? It'd be really helpful to know as much as possible about it. Thanks, WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:18, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
