Removing Speedy at Yukon High School[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Yukon High School. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Speedy delete contest button.png and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:10, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Status and Advice[edit]

sorry for messing up the infobox. Please do fix it, but do not re-add info I have removed. And do not add anything at all from the school site or any other publication unless you can explicitly license the rights to the material according to our licensing, using the CC-BY-SA and the GNU licenses, as explained in WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:Donating copyrighted materials ; be aware that these licenses give everyone in the world an irrevocable license to reuse and alter the material, even for commercial purposes. But I do not advise doing so, for it is usually inappropriate in tone, just as the long history of the school mascot was. Please see articles on other high school for the appropriate amount of detail.

The most important thing to add, is the names of alumni who have Wikipedia articles.

BTW, the student teacher ratio in the infobox is inconsistent with the number of teachers and the no of students. DGG ( talk ) 19:45, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Account seems to have moved...[edit]

Please be aware, you should edit Wikipedia from one account. If you have now decided to use the account whose talk page is at User_talk:Jphill19usa, instead of this account, then you should stop editing from this account completely. If there is a reason for using both accounts (for example, you want to use one account at home, and the other at school or work, to avoid the home account getting compromised), then you should mention this on the user page for both accounts. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 23:54, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry[edit]

Hi. Looking at your username and contributions and comparing them with User:Jphill19usa it would appear you would need to read the Wikipedia policy on socpuppetry. Please discontinue using one of these accounts immediately and ideally tag one account as discontinued. Thanks--ClubOranjeT 23:55, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

June 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Yukon High School. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Copyright issues: please help![edit]

You have entered a lot of copyrighted text into various school-related articles. This is a huge problem. Please, as soon as possible, go over the articles you have edited and make sure that all the copyrighted text is removed. ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 21:27, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Stillwater Public Schools[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Stillwater Public Schools has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

"This subject does not appear to be a particularly notable school district or meet the general notability guideline required for inclusion as a stand-alone article – I can't seem to find good sources for it.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. School infobox nit[edit]

Thanks for all the contributions to various school articles. One concern though: MOS:FLAG is pretty strong that we shouldn't have flagicons in the infoboxes. DMacks (talk) 06:48, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Page order[edit]

I noted your edits to many school articles (such as [2]) moving the footnotes to come after the external links and navigation templates. My understanding is that this is contrary to the order of appendices set out by Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Layout; see in particular MOS:APPENDIX. If there has been some recent change in consensus of which I'm not aware, please let me know. Otherwise, I'd respectfully suggest that those changes should be reverted. Thanks, --Arxiloxos (talk) 07:15, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

I undid all the changes you did to the page order for the Oklahoma high school articles. I assume the reason you made all these changes was because of the reference error that was showing up. The problem was not with the articles but with the Oklahoma High School Athletic Districts template. I fixed that and the error went away. Obviously fixing that one problem is easier than going through and changing all those article to work around the problem (not to mention the MOS issue). SQGibbon (talk) 09:24, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Please discuss before adding items to template:sex[edit]

As indicated on the documentation for {{sex}}, this template is far too large/broad an area to include every article. As indicated in the documentation, please propose and discuss items on the talk page, rather than just adding them. Zodon (talk) 05:25, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Bethany PS[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Bethany PS requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it must be substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dianna (talk) 21:14, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:MP Dam Cafe.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MP Dam Cafe.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:17, 27 August 2012 (UTC)

After reviewing the infobox, I don't recollect placing the Texas "Victory" statement. In the event that I did actually make the statement, it was done as an uniformity with other infoboxes related to the subjectivity of Texas-Indian Wars.
