yardım[edit]

Selamlar, konuyu açarsan yardımcı olmak isterim.--Evrifaessachat 12:59, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Evrifaessa dudewithafez 13:22, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merhabalar, konuyu ayrıntı içerisinde açıklayabilir misin? Yardımcı olmaktan zevk duyarım.—-Rodrigo Valequez(🗣) 13:12, 5 May 2020 (UTC) Ayrıca, kullanıcı sayfanda artık aktif olmadığını belirtmişsin. Bu doğru mu? —-Rodrigo Valequez(🗣) 13:15, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Rodrigo Valequez dudewithafez 13:22, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

—-Rodrigo Valequez(🗣) 13:33, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve proposed the changes on the articles talk page. Regards, Rodrigo Valequez(🗣) 16:25, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Not only edit-warring, but also canvassing any and every user you think it Turkish? Not cool. Khirurg (talk) 15:32, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The reason he messaged us was to request for help. If he was to propose a change, it would have been denied because the majority of the editors which edit those articles believe the content in appropriate. Most of the people who would agree that the changes he proposes are Turkish, and Turkish editors usually stay away from these articles due to the harsh criticism they face. Rodrigo Valequez(🗣) 15:58, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Of course he "asked for help". The question is, help with what? It's pretty obvious he is asking for help with edit-warring. Khirurg (talk) 16:00, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
He was asking for help to propose changes, he was probably thinking that we would back him up. And he thought correct. Rodrigo Valequez(🗣) 16:02, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
We were going to propose the removal of the picture which was continuously being added to the article. Rodrigo Valequez(🗣) 16:06, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Translations of the conversation above[edit]

I’ve translated everything below for clarification. User:KazekageTR contacted me in Turkish saying:

selamlar, Turkey sayfasında inatla ermeni soykırımı fotoğrafı konunuluyor. Talkpage'de destek verir misin. kazekagetr 12:11, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Which translates to:

Hello, a picture of the Armenian genocide is stubbornly being added to the article. Could you support me in the talk page? kazekagetr 12:11, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I asked for more information on his talk page, this is what how he replied:

That translates to:

Hello, I had made great efforts and improved the Turkey article to GA level. I couldn’t continue improving the article due to some obstacles I faced, they turned the article into a place of mayhem during that time period (“Dingo’s barn” is a Turkish idiom). There have been a few users who have been annoying me/edit-warring with me (“Salça olmak” is a slang term) since back then. I won’t give their names here but you can see who they are from my talk page history. Anyway, they are continuously making genocide propaganda (not only armenian), they obviously are still doing it. By establishing what they call a 'consensus', they added a photo of the Armenian genocide to the page. This country has a very long history besides the Armenian Genocide. There are a tons of other photos which should be used there. Back then, we were struggling to fit the photos. In your understanding, most people use Wikipedia to get informed about this country. That's why I want to remove that photo from there, but stuff like this can’t be done by one person. So this is why I want help. And yes, this will be my last contribution. @ User: Rodrigo Valequez dudewithafez </ span > 13:22, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Which translates to:

I understand, I also think that adding this photo is unnecessary. Adding such a photo would be irrelevant, because what they refer to as the "Armenian Genocide" (I don't think it was genocide) happened during the period of the Ottoman Empire. I don’t know how many people you contacted but something like this would face a lot of criticism and most people would appose, should we contact more people (I thought that he had only contacted 2 people)? Also, is your plan to improve the article and remove the photo or to only remove the photo? I think the first option would be better but I don’t know if you would be willing to join a large-scale project like this since you’re quitting Wikipedia. As I’ve stated before, I’d enjoy helping. —- Rodrigo Valequez ( 🗣 ) 13:33, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Then I proposed what I found logical on Turkey’s talk page. I hope this makes everything clear. Rodrigo Valequez(🗣) 18:41, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
