July 2015 Message Alert In April 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Kevin12xd. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Fabian Delph, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Kevin12xd 18:21, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

This must be a mistake as I did not change anything and seeing as this was almost two years ago why is this message coming up, I do not really care for football and wouldn’t know enough about the sport to even attempt editing an article about a specific athlete. I mainly just make the occasional, MMA, boxing or kickboxing edit as I am a combat sports fan only. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.145.48.13 (talk) 05:05, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kevin ... I am working on the page about the Peaks of Grassi Community Association. trying to clean-up to wiki standards, but I am having some problems .... someone (you?) had sent a template for me to use, but I am unable to locate that again now ... and searching does not produce the same results ... The initial content we want to put-up is there now, and more will be added over the next month or so .. and ongoing I expect. But for now, could you give me a hand getting this started ...

At: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Snappled/POGA&action=edit

I am going to save now, but realise there is more work to do ...

Your Review of Lifespan Integration[edit]

Your review of Lifespan Integration seems unfair. You stated that it appears to be self-promotional but It has been written with factual information and there is no promotional sentences in the body of the article. I am just trying to get this information out there. If you look at other psychotherapy methods on WP you will find exactly the same kind of articles. See Avolition - Personality systematics - Online Therapy Institute - (or many of the other psychotherapy articles posted on WP. DRN needs assistance[edit]

You are receiving this message because you have listed yourself as a volunteer at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard.

We have a backlog of cases there which need volunteer attention. If you have time available, please take one or more of these cases.

If you do not intend to take cases or help with the administration of DRN on a regular basis, or if you do not wish to receive further notices of this nature, please remove your username from the volunteer list. If you later decide to resume activities at DRN you may relist your name at that time.

Orphaned non-free image File:FLATO Markham Theatre Logo.jpg[edit]

⚠
Thanks for uploading File:FLATO Markham Theatre Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:34, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dreamshow[edit]

This is a warning concerning your edits on Dreamshow. 1) it is almost vandalism to ask a speedy deletion for an article concerning a dvd from a singer who was on the front cover of Mojo magazine last Year. 2) you erased the fact that this dvd was number 1 on the uk dvd charts in 2005 whereas you should have added "fact needed" at the end of the sentence. 3) I dunno if the article is still on the speedy deletion list as I reverted all the tags and put references. Hope not. If this article was erased, I will ask sanctions against you by contacting administrators Carliertwo (talk) 15:58, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Carlier. I apologize for any misunderstandings that may have occurred regarding this specific instance. I'd removed the CSD well before you'd posted this message, and it was originally instated as a result of a revision that seemed to make the article CSD-worthy (check the History). The original revision was restored. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to let me know. Cheers, Kevin12xd (contribs) 16:05, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WPF Page[edit]

I have added the edit summary for the WPF page. Sorry about that. The issue was recently fixed and I wanted to update the article to reflect that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harikm86 (talkcontribs) 18:37, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Amelia Jones's page[edit]

You reverted an edit, in the interest of monitoring the page for vandalism, misuse etc. The removal of queer studies from Jones's areas of expertise is the unproductive edit. I had undone that removal in June, but stopped correcting it because it just seemed like it was never ending. But people erasing her work in queer studies are either homophobic, or just vandalizing the page to harass? Judyholliday (talk) 18:55, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It'd certainly help if people indicated their intentions in the edit summary. I've re-added the tidbit of information, and provided an edit summary; it shouldn't be prone to removal again. Thanks for the message, and happy editing! Kevin12xd (contribs) 01:04, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, so the reason i did that is because people who are coming to Hertford with big children want to go to the big children area. It needs to be loved by the people. It would be sad if no one used it so its has to be known! Have a nice day!! Wkc19 :) (talk) 07:17, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disputes in caste status of nasranis[edit]

It must be noted that the Dewan of travancore -Reddy rao relieved many syrian catholics ( possibly the unpriviliged ones) of compulsory oozhiiyam service at the estates of Nairs and Nambudiris, pls refer credible unbiased sources for information, claiming untouchability with nairs sees to be a falsified story just to big up the community but the truth is far from these claims — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kuttan thampran (talkcontribs) 17:42, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kuttan, and welcome to Wikipedia. Just to clarify, I'd reverted your edit on Saint Thomas Christians because you'd removed some sourced content without explaining why in an edit summary. If you have any further questions, let me know! Cheers, Kevin12xd 20:44, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Peaks of Grassi Community Association (POGA) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — JJMC89(T·E·C) 20:53, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion and WP:BITE[edit]

Hi there! I very much appreciate your work patrolling new pages. However, I'd like to draw your attention to Wikipedia's policy on biting the newcomers. Tagging a page for deletion moments after creation is considered uncivil and may drive away newcomers whose edits are made in good faith. It's generally a good idea to give a page no less than 10 minutes before tagging unless, of course, it's an attack page or some other sort of vandalism. If I can be of any assistance, you know where to find me. --Non-Dropframe talk 21:10, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. I've recently experienced with userfying, and I'll certainly try implementing it more actively to avoid violation of WP:BITE. Cheers, Kevin12xd 21:14, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Userfying is a great tool but there's not much point in userfying an article that will almost certainly never be encyclopedic. Trust me, I understand the frustration of seeing an article I know will never be useful and not being able to tag it the moment I see it. I usually use the userifying process for an article I think could eventually be useful but isn't yet. --Non-Dropframe talk 21:19, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed at DRN[edit]

You are receiving this message because you are signed up as a volunteer at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard. We have a number of pending requests which need a volunteer to address them. Unless you are an inexperienced volunteer who is currently just watching DRN to learn our processes, please take a case. If you do not see yourself taking cases in the foreseeable future, please remove yourself from the volunteer list so that we can have a better idea of the size of our pool of volunteers; if you do see yourself taking cases, please watchlist the DRN page and keep an eye out to see if there are cases which are ready for a volunteer. We have recently had to refuse a number of cases because they were listed for days with no volunteer willing to take them, despite there being almost 150 volunteers listed on the volunteer page. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. DRN help needed and volunteer roll call[edit]

You are receiving this message because you have listed yourself on the list of volunteers at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/Volunteering#List of the DRN volunteers.

First, assistance is needed at DRN. We have recently closed a number of cases without any services being provided for lack of a volunteer willing to take the case. There are at least three cases awaiting a volunteer at this moment. Please consider taking one.

Second, this is a volunteer roll call. If you remain interested in helping at DRN and are willing to actively do so by taking at least one case (and seeing it through) or helping with administrative matters at least once per calendar month, please add your name to this roll call list. Individuals currently on the principal volunteer list who do not add their name on the roll call list will be removed from the principal volunteer list after June 30, 2016 unless the DRN Coordinator chooses to retain their name for the best interest of DRN or the encyclopedia. Individuals whose names are removed after June 30, 2016, should feel free to re-add their names to the principal volunteer list, but are respectfully requested not to do so unless they are willing to take part at DRN at least one time per month as noted above. No one is going to be monitoring to see if you live up to that commitment, but we respectfully ask that you either live up to it or remove your name from the principal volunteer list.

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Remove a notice.[edit]

Sir, I found that you have placed some tempelates in my newly created page. Please remove it. And provide me some facts about How can I improve it.Mukti Subedi(ARTIST) (talk) 07:33, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like an articles for deletion tag was placed on the article because it fails Wikipedia's general notability guidelines - it doesn't seem that there's significant media coverage of this actor. If you wish to contest or discuss the deletion nomination, you can do so here. However, be advised that it's likely to be pushed through. Cheers, Kevin12xd 07:38, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Again[edit]

Sir, My real name is Mukti Subedi as from that name someone has tried upto 5 times and got deleted. As it can be created by only admin and i am not admin. So i have added artist after my name. So please help me out. And remove notice.Mukti Subedi(ARTIST) (talk) 07:45, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you're the person in question, you shouldn't have written the article in the first place as per WP:AUTO. Anyways, again, you'll need to establish notability before the nomination for deletion can be closed. Kevin12xd 07:50, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

.JS file that you placed a speedy template[edit]

You placed a speedy tag on Neonorange/global.js. It's a .js file for Meta:TemplateScript. I forgot to preceed the page title with 'User:' Your tag alerted me to my error, thanks. I've moved the page to the correct namespace. — Neonorange (talk) 11:50, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good. Wish Twinkle didn't automatically template regulars when CSDing. Kevin12xd 11:53, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kevin12xd,

He was reviewed in All About Jazz and performed in David S. Ware's jazz band. I think those categories were accurate. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 19:53, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. I've gone ahead and replaced the categories. Kevin12xd 19:56, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

CSD[edit]

Hi, just leaving a note because I declined two of the recent speedy deletion tags you placed. I declined the A10 and moved Draft:List of World Of Sport Wrestling personal to draft, because it looked like the page creator was trying to build a list article about the people using the text of an article they already created as a base. I declined A7 on Radhika Nagrath because the article makes a claim to significance by saying her book was released by a governor of an Indian state and that she was a writer for several major publications. TonyBallioni (talk) 20:24, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with your call on Radhika Nagrath, though the A10 on Draft:List of World Of Sport Wrestling personal should have remained because the complied list wouldn't have expanded upon the list already present in the existing article. Kevin12xd 20:33, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The page could have also been a plausible redirect to the main subject, however, so A10 would not have applied regardless of the dratifying. If it is a plausible list for expansion or changing to make its own article, I generally think sending it to draft is better than A10. If it still exists untouched in a few weeks we can always dispatch it through WP:MfD. TonyBallioni (talk) 20:37, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

game boy color original colors[edit]

Hello, My source for the edit was me having lived during that period. Here is the original debut advertisement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ki9t4JzSRg As you can see, for the holiday 1998 season, only grape and atomic purple were avaliable. The additional colors were not released until Spring of 1999. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.100.107.37 (talk) 02:58, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, original research isn't accepted - merely asserting that you lived during the release of the GameBoy Color Original doesn't replace a published, reliable source. YouTube also isn't considered a reliable source in this context. Kevin12xd 03:01, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It is the original Nintendo advertisement from November 1998 when they launched the Game Boy Color. I don't know how more of a reliable source you could get. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.100.107.37 (talk) 03:04, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It neither asserts that the release colors were limited to "Grape and Atomic Purple", nor does it indicate that the other colors would be released in Spring 1999. Either way, YouTube still isn't an acceptable source. Kevin12xd 03:15, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Kevin, and thanks for your careful guardianship of Wikipedia. It's fixed better now. Thanks for pointing this out. The file File:Fake Reciept, Nov 2012.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

orphaned file, no foreseeable encyclopedic use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please participate to the talk pages consultation[edit]

Hello

Our team at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on a project to improve the ease-of-use and productivity of wiki talk pages. As a Teahouse host, I can imagine you’ve run into challenges explaining talk pages to first-time participants.

We want all contributors to be able to talk to each other on the wikis – to ask questions, to resolve differences, to organize projects and to make decisions. Communication is essential for the depth and quality of our content, and the health of our communities. We're currently leading a global consultation on how to improve talk pages, and we're looking for people that can report on their experiences using (or helping other people to use) wiki talk pages. We'd like to invite you to participate in the consultation, and invite new users to join too.

We thank you in advance for your participation and your help.
