Unsourced Data

In your haste to undo the reversions I made, you re-added a whole bunch of unsupported data to the encyclopedia. For example, América Móvil [1], China Telecom [2], China Unicom [3], and others. You need to fix this; I have neither the time nor the patience to follow behind you and check all these numbers.

And you can't say "trust me". The encyclopedia needs proper references for all changes.

Also, in ArcelorMittal, why did you insert profit arrows beside all those numbers without citing a baseline?

I'll be back to look at this tomorrow. I hope you decide to clean up this mess so we don't have to get the administrators involved. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 08:20, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

I can source those figures the reason I don't source because it takes to much time. You saw that I provided a source for Sapient, therefore I can put for others too. As far as ArcelorMittal its essential to put the either the profit or loss arrows and remember those figures are with actual source.--Kkm010 | Talk with me 08:58, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

I'm really sorry, but I don't believe anything should be here that cannot be properly sourced. I strongly recommend you take the time to do it right. You don't need to make these updates. (You're not being paid to do so, are you?) There's plenty of time. It'll still be here tomorrow.
You don't have to take my word for it, though:
I can NOT emphasize this enough.
There seems to be a terrible bias among some editors that some sort of random speculative "I heard it somewhere" pseudo information is to be tagged with a "needs a cite" tag. Wrong. It should be removed, aggressively, unless it can be sourced. This is true of all information, but it is particularly true of negative information about living persons.
(Emphasis added)
Jimmy Wales (the founder of this site) wrote this in a mailing list on May 16, 2006.
Bottom line: It's important the information here be accurate. Verifiability is the best way to ensure that.
Have you considered using one of the automated tools to help you with your citations? They make the process much easier by automating some of the mundane stuff. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 13:00, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:BadooHomepage.PNG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:BadooHomepage.PNG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. License tagging for File:News Time Logo.png

Thanks for uploading File:News Time Logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:06, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

List of Indians by net worth.

I WILL NOT tell you this again. And that is because you will not do what you have been doing. Perhaps you want to leave your "imprint" on articles that makes you feel an air of 'superiority'. That you are free to try where there might be anybody inferior to yourself (if at all there be any such).

There is no sense in listing the 15 richest at random. Either it can be the top 10 or the top 50 or the top 400 like Forbes has "America's richest 400" etc. OR we list all those currently at or beyond a threshold which is often considered the $1 billion mark. These estimates vary with time, performances of the global and national economies, rise and fall of stocks etc. But Forbes does come out with such a list every single year all the same. AND people do value their information. When America crossed 400 in terms of billionaires, Forbes extended the list to accommodate all the billionaires in their list (presently 412).

Next time that you make such significant changes with no discussion or heed for other editors and people, OR remove valid and sourced information, you will be reported to the admins. SumerianPrince (talk) 07:02, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

The Prime Ministers and Nobel Prize winners are already mentioned in the article. They should not be mentioned twice particularly as the details in the two mentions does not match. --Bduke (Discussion) 12:06, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Dear User:Kkm010 and User:Iamgymman123, please refrain from initiating an edit war on the Kolkata article. I would recommend that both of you first discuss your difference on the Talk:Kolkata page and agree upon your edits through Wikipedia:Consensus. Please discuss the issues in the article's talk page instead of your user_talk pages so that other users can participate as well. Please make your edits to the main article only when you have agreed upon the changes through discussion and consensus. Feel free to invite other users for comments/opinions. In the mean time I will revert much of the recent edits by the two of you to the original contents of the article. If you do not agree with this suggestion I can bring this into the attention of an administrator for suggestion on resolving the conflicts. - Subh83 (talk | contribs) 20:13, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
