Hi hello little Alex, would you be interested to contribute to Current events in Hong Kong and Macao? best, — Instantnood 11:41, Jan 27 2005 (UTC)

I would if I read/watch the news enough to know current affairs, sigh. --little Alex 17:48, Feb 3, 2005 (UTC)

Marilyn Manson[edit]

The cover of "like a virgin" is most likely not MM. there is no record of it actually being released or recorded by him (to my knowladge). it remains to be proven either way though.

aw, man. thanks for the info. though now I got to figure out who did it...

E.F. Calthrop[edit]

I noticed a recent edit on The Art of War article regarding British officer, E.F. Calthrop. As something of an afficionado on the topic, I have been unable to find much information at all on E.F. Calthrop, despite my best efforts. I have worked on articles for other Victorian-era sinologists, namely Frederic H. Balfour, Herbert Giles, and Lionel Giles.

Were you planning on creating a biography stub for E.F. Calthrop? If so, would you mind sharing the name of your reference material with me? I am working on the introduction for a new volume of Sun Tzu's work in print, and I would love to spend some time reading about E.F. Calthrop.

If this was not your intent, we should probably removed the wikilink for E.F. Calthrop, because I suspect there is not enough information available. Thanks for your time.

If you can provide a source, I will happily revert myself Casliber (talk · contribs) 10:54, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but are you seriously asking me to cite a source on something that any Chinese child could have told you? I mean, some things are just in Chinese cultural lore. Um, there are the many jiang shi films in the 80s and there's 僵屍與吸血鬼. But unless you read Chinese, I don't see what good that link would do. --little Alex (talk) 18:30, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia can be frustrating, there is material I have been unable to source but know is true and have been thus unable to place in a Featured Article. Seriously, if the book spells out they are more like zombies than vampires or something along those lines please revert me and use the book as a ref. Use the 'cite book' format above (rightmost little box above the editing screen. You don't sound rude, and I am sure it is alot more obvious to you. I am happy when we can cite non-english sources to revert anglophone bias. Casliber (talk · contribs) 21:09, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Little Dorrit[edit]

In your note to me, you claim I'm changing the plot so that it ends up being incorrect.

The sentence, as I originally wrote it, read "Following his father's death, Arthur Clennam returns from China, bearing a pocket watch the dying man urged his son to deliver to Mrs. Clennam."

Your most recent version states, "Arthur Clennam returns from China with his father's pocket watch and delivers it to Mrs. Clennam, as Mr. Clennam's dying wish was for the watch to go to Arthur's mother."

I'm perplexed. How, exactly, does this differ in meaning from the version I originally wrote??? LiteraryMaven (talkcontrib) 12:37, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

  • But Mr. Clennam didn't urge Arthur to deliver the watch to Mrs. Clennam; he told Arthur to give it to Arthur's mother, who isn't Mrs. Clennam. My sentence actually describes what happened without ever stating outright that Mrs. Clennam is Arthur's mother. I know this makes the sentence more complicated, but since Arthur's true maternity is a plot twist later on, I just thought we should be extra careful in how we word it.--little Alex (talk) 14:36, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of Lee Harding (character)[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

I have nominated Lee Harding (character), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lee Harding (character). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. tedder (talk) 17:30, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

  • Actually, I wasn't the person who really created that page, was. He/she just completely replaced the old information (i.e., about the singer) with information about the character. I was going to just revert the whole thing, but since the new information looks complete enough for a wikipedia page, I created a new page for it so that the person's efforts won't be wasted.--little Alex (talk) 05:31, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Twinkle posted this note to you automagically. Based on your edit history, I didn't figure you had. tedder (talk) 05:42, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Jiang Shi[edit]

You may help translate from the sources. Mendel 56 (talk) 05:31, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Didn't know I needed your permission... I can, but I was actually only interested in vampires, not jiang shi. I corrected bits and pieces on the jiang shi page because it was connected to the vampire page. But I'll take a look at the jiang shi page when I have the time.--little Alex (talk) 08:30, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
    • Sorry for poor English. Translate is not easy. If we don't translate them these links may dead and the information would loss.Mendel 56 (talk) 03:15, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Dance on My Grave[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Dance on My Grave has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of how this might meet notability guidelines. Lacks citations to significant coverage in reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 17:12, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Simon Woods, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vogue. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
