March 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Codename Lisa. I noticed that you made a change to an article, NTFS, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

Oh, and by the way, the article already had a section on that subject. Its better to keep the contents in one place. Codename Lisa (talk) 15:50, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Ntoskrnl.exe[edit]

One; After your changes have been reverted, you are not supposed to simply restore your material. Please see WP:BRD. Bold (you were), Revert (I did), Discuss. There is no second R.

Two: Sandboxes are easy to create. Just click on this link:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Ntoskrnl.exe/Sandbox

The resulting page will tell you that there is no page with that exact name, but will let you create it. Then open a new browser window, edit the existing ntoskrnl.exe page, copy and paste the whole into the sandbox, and save the sandbox. Oh, you might want to add {{Sandbox notice}} at the top. Then revert the real page back to where it was before you started. Easy. Jeh (talk) 05:55, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

btw, the info on Dave Cutler's opinion on Hungarian notation is here. I'm quite certain that it'sIt's mentioned in the book Showstopper, too (page 57 in the hardback edition); that's probably where I first saw it. And you can find examples of "Hungarian notation for types, but not for variables" (well, arguments) throughout the MSDN driver support routines pages you linked.
Do you want me to create the sandbox and move the current state of the article over there? Or perhaps the article as it was after your "boost" edit? Jeh (talk) 05:26, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

A smile for you![edit]

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (Insert-signature.png or Button sig.png) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:11, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
