Speedy deletion nomination of Abdul Salam El Termanini[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Abdul Salam El Termanini requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome[edit]

You're welcome. I created a lot of the articles and templates, a lot of them in the belief that some day people like you will come along and add their knowledge and sources about them.. If you can expand them using sources you have and add any photographs you have I look forward to seeing them develop. Keep up the good work! You may be interested in Wikipedia:WikiProject Libya. You can also invite any of your friends to join and help put Libya on the map! Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:45, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Change whatever you need to. Remember I'm not an Arabic speaker or translator so I have no idea what the names actually mean. Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:27, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi![edit]

Hi there! I just wanted to say that I had noticed all the articles you're creating - you're doing a great job! If you need any help, feel free to ask me questions you have. Welcome! Calliopejen1 (talk) 18:09, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

A question: Do you know anything about the town Zawiyat al `Urqub? The coordinates given point to an empty spot in the desert. Does this town exist? Calliopejen1 (talk) 20:06, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:IdrisI2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:IdrisI2.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 02:20, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Darnah[edit]

In August 2009 you added the sentence: There is an association in Darnah named Al Haila interested in gathering Libyan antiquities. to the Darnah, Libya article. Do you have a citation for that? Could you explain how it is relevant to the article, so that it could be placed in the appropriate section? --Bejnar (talk) 17:01, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. I was a bit concerned about its notability as it was not mentioned in the three guidebooks that I consulted. Do they run a museum under another name? Remember that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. --Bejnar (talk) 16:49, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Barnstar[edit]

Bulletproof Barnstar.PNG The Bulletproof Barnstar
In recognition of your contributions to 2011 Libyan uprising, during which you risked your own personal safety, I award you the Bulletproof Barnstar. Your work is in keeping with the highest standards of Wikipedia, and I thank you for it. Stay safe out there. - Kafziel 17:20, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Green Book study center[edit]

Do you have a picture of one that isn't burned? A picture of a burned building doesn't really illustrate the purpose for which the building was constructed, although it certainly serves to illustrate the politics of the uprising. 24.22.217.162 07:09, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi Maher27777, I'm posting this message on your talk page because I noticed that you've recently created the new article Lamluda--The image greatly improves the article. It would be great if you could also clean-up the related article Urkovići.

Categories[edit]

Please do not add religion, ethnic, or descent categories or information to biography articles, as you did at Nadim Sawalha, without first ensuring that 1) the category is supported by sourced article content and 2) the individual identifies as such. Please see WP:BLPCAT and WP:EGRS for additional information. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 15:45, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

"Thanks for the template of Libya's squad, but where did you find the exact numbers of players?!--Maher27777 (talk) 13:40, 22 January 2012 (UTC)"

Wadi el Kuf Bridge‎[edit]

Just wondered where you got the 500m main span for the bridge. You changed it with out providing any references. The external link on the page has the main span listed as 282m and has supporting diagrams. ShakyIsles (talk) 04:02, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

If you mean the length of the bridge from start to end, I simply used the car I drove to measure it!--Maher27777 (talk) 14:07, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
The bit you changed was the main span which is 282m. There is a diagram if you click on the external link on the Wadi el Kuf Bridge‎ page. The length of the entire bridge is 477m (also shown in the diagram). I've added that information to the page. If you still disagree plase provide some references. One in Cape Town at WikiAfrica, at the Africa Centre; and the other for WikiAfrica Cameroon in Douala, at doual’art. If you are interested, please contact either Marilyn [marilyn.doualabell@doualart.org] for the WikiAfrica Cameroon call or Isla [islahf@africacentre.net] for the WikiAfrica position in Cape Town.

Disambiguation link notification for August 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Murrah ibn Ka'b, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Quraish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Barrah bint Abdul Uzza[edit]

Hello Maher27777,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Barrah bint Abdul Uzza for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Tritario (talk) 13:20, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
