War is Live[edit]

I just thought I would let you know that I finally managed to complete the article on Warfare in early modern Scotland. Only took me a year. I also found some more on the Scots in the Thirty Years War and will add that into the article when I can face it. All the best.--SabreBD (talk) 22:52, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Allen Burns[edit]

Hi Mais oui!, Saw your request for the Allen Burns. Was this the man who's father died at 96, his brother was Dr John Burns, and he was in charge of the dissecting rooms when he was 16, at his brothers behest? If so, can you forward me a message and i'll make a start. scope_creep (talk) 01:02, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

Just to let you know -- Missing Wikipedians[edit]

You have been mentioned at Wikipedia:Missing Wikipedians. XOttawahitech (talk) 14:43, 24 September 2013 (UTC) And a great peace came over the land. Years of rabid and paranoid SNP POVism coupled with accusing anyone who disagreed with him of every kind wrong doing seem to have left Butt Yes no longer functional. A cautionary tale. Hey make sure you have the shiny side of your tin foil hat on the outside, stops the mind control much more efficiently. His enablers John, Lectonar et al have conveniently forgotten their association. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.1.187.90 (talk) 01:05, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

Welcome back![edit]

It is good to see you editing again. --John (talk) 23:03, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

Many thanks. Not sure that I am "back", but as a (somewhat infrequent) user of Wikipedia in my reallife I get a bit irritated with small errors and bugs. I resisted the urge to fix things for over a year. I've got lots of things I'd love to work on, but I am profoundly reluctant to dedicate my valuable time to Wikipedia until you lot solve the problems with bullying, thuggery and rogue admins. WP:VERIFY is official Wikipedia policy. And official Wikipedia policy does not simply apply to main article space, but also the templates, categories, and all other areas of the project. Not only has an Admin blatently ignored this fact, they have not even had the common courtesy to respond to my point, but have systematically, over many, many years, gone round quietly but steadily vandalising literally hundreds (perhaps thousands) of categories which I have created as an active member (in fact founder) of WikiProject Scotland.
You can choose to allow the thuggery to continue or you can choose to ensure that official Wikipedia policy is implemented in practice. Or, of course, you can choose to do nothing at all. --Mais oui! (talk) 09:10, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
I am with you in all that you say. If you give me a list of specific problems I promise to do anything in my power to address them. --John (talk) 22:07, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

State Church in Scotland[edit]

Dear Mais oui, I noticed that you tagged the Catholic Church in Scotland as State Church, because it was the pre-reformation State Church. However, this is a non-notable characteristic because before the reformation the Catholic church was state church in every West European country by definition. So I'm going to delete this classification, I hope you don't mind with the explanation I give you now. Marcocapelle (talk) 19:42, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

Territorial Council of Saint-Barthélemy[edit]

Hi Mais oui! Thank you very much for creating Territorial Council of Saint-Barthélemy. If I could ask you one small favour of you and that is to created a stub for Territorial Council of Saint-Martin. It is the one remaining red link on the newly created navbox Template:National unicameral legislatures which put together earlier this week. Cheers -- Ianblair23 (talk) 00:43, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
