FAC withdrawn[edit]

I appreciate that you are acting in good faith, but it is best if featured articles are nominated by people who have worked closely on them. In this way, they can give reasoned replies to reviewers and be familiar enough with the sources to act on suggested improvements. Someone who has not worked on the article can not provide this input, so the nomination may continue until opposition to it becomes so overwhelming that the article is failed; this takes away time from reviewers. While the Black Sabbath article is of reasonable quality, it is not yet of featured quality, and principal contributors must be consulted before a nomination, as required in the featured article candidate instructions. Speedy deletion nomination of Andy Stott[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Andy Stott requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Στc. 01:09, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Blondes.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Blondes.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:18, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Andy Stott[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Andy Stott has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable, independent sources about him per WP:SOURCES. I can find reviews of his music, but nothing that goes in depth about him.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bgwhite (talk) 05:45, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

I have now worked on the article and added sources as requested. I am also favorable to changing the note to Notable and Refimprove. But it is up to User:Bgwhite who did the original proposal to review the additional info and sources given and act accordingly. I have left a note on his page as well in this regard. But what a talented artist this Andy Stott guy is. I have checked quite a lot of his work while working on his Wikipedia page and he is just superb. werldwayd (talk) 14:56, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

June 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions are appreciated, but, in this recent edit to Category:Pitchfork Media's Album of the Year, you removed Articles for deletion notices from articles or removed other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. This makes it difficult to establish consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Tgeairn (talk) 03:17, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
