Small world: DNA Sequencing and HacDC[edit]

Hi Mike! I was just looking at the talk page at DNA sequencing and ran across your comment. I thought "wait why do I know that name?" And then I realized you're the biologist who just joined HacDC! Not sure if you remember, but I think I talked to you about biology for a bit after the meeting last month. It really is a small world on this here internet.

Anyway, since you were talking about adding information on the dropping cost of DNA sequencing, I thought you might be interested in this terrific source that I'm going to try to add to the article. The graphs there highlight perfectly what I discovered this semester in a class on next-generation sequencing: for the last three years, the cost of sequencing has been dropping at a revolutionary rate. I'd really like to add something to the article emphasizing this, starting with including that graph.

Anyway, just thought I'd point you to that great resource, let you know someone's moving on your proposal, and say welcome to HacDC again!
