Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)[edit]

Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:

It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve.

At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange).

WikiProject Women in Red/The World Contest[edit]

In November The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There will be over $4000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

World inflation map[edit]

Hello Millbart. Thanks for showing my mistake about the iflation map. English is not my native language. So I didn't understand that the informations on IMF was showing only estimations about the future. Could you please show me which page of IMF shows the lastest rates of inflation? Hi Amillians, you can either move the slider underneath the graphic in the source link you provided or go directly to the data for 2018. These data are still "only" estimations (GDP and other aggregated economic data are always estimates), but at least they are for the past. This will be revised in future versions of the data set and will get better (or so one hopes). Beware not to provide any colouring for countries were the IMF has no data, for example Somalia and Syria, while the Falkland Islands (for which no data is provided by the IMF) is missing. ;-) I am not especially fond of the colours you chose and would prefer the ones chosen by the IMF. It looks more neutral and less "alarming" (so to speak), but maybe that's just me. Cheers --Millbart (talk) 16:51, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

50,000 Destubbing Challenge Focus of the Week[edit]
