I have been editing Eileen Kernaghan's page and for some reason several of the links are screwing up.

Hi MimiDemare. There are two types of linking availoable using Wiki Markup, and it looks as though your conflating the two.
The first type of link is a wikilink. This links to another page in Wikipedia, and is the only type of link we use in the body of an article. Wikilinks are created using double square brackets, in the following format: [[Name of target page]]. Thus, typing [[Eileen Kernaghan]] gives you a link like this: Eileen Kernaghan.
The other type of link is an external link, which takes the reader to a site outside Wikipedia. These should not be used in the body of an article, but in the External Links section at the end. External links are created with single square brackets like this: [http://nameofwebsite.com Text]. As an example, [http://amazon.com Amazon] will produce this: Amazon.
Hopefully that should help you to fix the links in the article, but if you need more help, please don't hesitate to ask. Yunshui  09:14, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

March 2015[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Eileen Kernaghan has been reverted.
Your edit here to Eileen Kernaghan was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://eileen-kernaghan.blogspot.com) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.
