Speedy deletion of Think passenger[edit]

A tag has been placed on Think passenger, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD G11.

Hi, Since Passenger is a company I can understand how it could be viewed as an advertisement for a company, but in fact, Passenger is a new form of the web 2.0 phenomenon-- a consumer and company mediated format of social networking, and since you have other sites like MySpace, Facebook and various other social networking sites available on Wikipedia, my entry is no more of an advertisement than those. I refrained from including company history (though I would like to be able to come back and add that) as I was worried that would instantly have my post/entry tagged as advertisement. I completed my thesis in User Generated Content & Viral Media & It's Impact on Broadcast and Marketing Structures and know that Passenger is part of a critical new sphere of communication and web 2.0 strategy that needs to be addressed. Most UGC is created and consumed by individuals or lurkers, but is not actually used to directly impact the company or campaign the consumer might be writing about. Passenger places a unique twist on this content and channels it into a reliable source-- a significant development for the web 2.0 genre. Please do not delete my submission as it is a new and interesting part of the web 2.0 genre/boom and illustrates the growth potential for this newly created media.
