January 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Via ferrata has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://addiator.blogspot.com/2006/08/lagazuoi-tunnels.html. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 13:13, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Cerithium[edit]

Hello, you are doing good work on Cerithium articles. But you have probably accidentally copied only one but a copyrighted sentence to the article Cerithium nodulosum [1]. I have checked other Cerithium article and they are OK. Beware of copyright. If you need further information, feel free to read Wikipedia:Copyright violations. If you need help, feel free to ask at Wikipedia talk:Copyright problems. Thank you for your contributing Wikipedia. Have a nice day. --Snek01 (talk) 01:23, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Just for my info, how is it possible to understand that it was a sentence covered by copyright? So that I will not make the same mistake again.Mpaa (talk) 09:59, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
Hello, maybe this information can help: Wikipedia:Copy-paste. Have a nice editing. --Snek01 (talk) 10:53, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Rare Disease day[edit]

ITN/C is not the appropriate place for a request to publicise this. Best I can suggest is that you add it at 28 February, as a recurring event, and a few days before next year's date, try to get it accepted at WP:SA for next year. Kevin McE (talk) 14:44, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of John V. Soto[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article John V. Soto has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Eeekster (talk) 00:36, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

I have added sources and removed tag (I was unsure I should do that, not completely familiar yet with guidelines). Can you check if now it is OK please? Mpaa (talk) 09:55, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

Needle (film)[edit]

Thank you for adding a plot summary to Needle (film). Since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia rather than a review or fan site, it is best to include the full details rather than a teaser. The trailer seems to suggest Marais is the killer, but I have not seen the film so I am not sure. - 2/0 (cont.) 07:15, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

I am unsure if I should state who is the killer and why. From How_to_write_a_plot_summary#Spoilers:Wikipedia should contain potentially "spoiling" detail where it substantially enhances the reader's understanding of the work and its impact but be omitted when it merely ruins the experience of the work of fiction for our readers. Mpaa (talk) 11:23, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
I would classify this as an important plot point that someone accessing an encyclopedia rather than a review site would expect to find, but I can see where you are coming from. Certainly I would not want to try to badger you into spending your volunteer time at my direction. Thanks for your work and happy editing, - 2/0 (cont.) 18:33, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 7[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited John Reuben Thompson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Richmond (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:56, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Page:Fantastics and other Fancies.djvu/4[edit]

Hello Mpaa,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Page:Fantastics and other Fancies.djvu/4 for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 20:46, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

I apologise. I created these pages by mistake. Go ahead.--Mpaa (talk) 21:10, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Page:Fantastics and other Fancies.djvu/3[edit]

Hello Mpaa,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Page:Fantastics and other Fancies.djvu/3 for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 20:47, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

Ditto. Per above.--Mpaa (talk) 21:11, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

I have unreviewed a page you curated[edit]

Thanks for reviewing Elijah (film), Mpaa.

Unfortunately Jackmcbarn has just gone over this page again and unreviewed it. Their note is:

The page was tagged for speedy deletion but no longer meets the criteria, so it needs re-reviewed

To reply, leave a comment on Jackmcbarn's talk page.

At least now there is something ...--Mpaa (talk) 14:10, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
