License tagging for File:Butadaali.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Butadaali.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:07, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Maa sharala.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Maa sharala.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Acather96 (talk) 15:48, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oriya food articles[edit]

Hi Nayansatya, and thank you for the work you have been doing, creating various articles related to Oriya cuisine. I would just like to make you aware of the policy that says that Wikipedia articles should not be how-to guides, which includes recipes. Could you re-work the articles you have created to remove the parts about how to cook the various dishes, and instead add sourced information about the food? Thank you very much! --bonadea contributions talk 11:52, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Saakara for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Saakara, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saakara until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Jrtayloriv (talk) 18:46, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Mandapitha.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 19:06, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Overwhelmed?[edit]

Hi, Nayansatya. Feeling overwhelmed by all the messages above? I hope you can take a deep breath, relax and work through the suggestions and requests without getting discouraged. You've contributed quite a lot in just over a month here and sometimes the rules of the place can be unclear, obtuse and intimidating. Please don't give up. Put a note here on your talk page if you need any specific tips or explanation of some of the notes about your images, articles and other contributions, etc. For example, on the photos you created and uploaded, some only lack a copyright tag. A suggestion is to add this tag to the image description page: {{self|cc-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}, which is what I usually do when uploading my photos to WP:Commons, as in this case, for example. I'll be glad to try to help and I'm sure others will, as well. Cheers, mate! Geoff Who, me? 20:40, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Request reason:

i understand the reason of my block,i will never cause any damage or any fault again,i will contribute safelyand with wikipedia guidelines, thank you

Decline reason:

You need to show some understanding of what specifically was wrong with your edits and how you would avoid such actions in the future. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:10, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Can you explain how you will edit differently in the future? This request does not include enough detail for me to evaluate whether you understand the guidelines now or not. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 19:20, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't get frustrated. Try to understand why the block has been put in place. Look back at the several warnings and messages on this page to understand the reason for the block. I hope you'll read up the necessary editing policies in Wikipedia and demonstrate the same to the administrators. Mspraveen (talk) 03:59, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

i understood that i was really doing some copyright violation in uploading images and creating articles with copytright violation which resulted in blockage of my account.I will only upload the file which have copyright verifcation act and create the article which are according to wikipedia policy

Decline reason:

This does not convince me that you understand Wikipedia's copyright policy. In particular, "the file which have copyright verifcation act" makes no sense at all.  Sandstein  17:07, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How will you verify the image's copyright status? I just want to make sure we won't run into this problem again - an alternative to ensure the same end would be to ask you to consent to a upload ban, wherein you wouldn't be allowed to upload any images at all. A tag has been placed on File:Dhara odissi.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File permission problem with File:Rajarani3.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rajarani3.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Denniss (talk) 00:48, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kapila Purana, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.siddha.com.my/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1393.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) File permission problem with File:Sleeping Vishnu Temple.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sleeping Vishnu Temple.jpg.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 00:48, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
