Ergneti market moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Ergneti market, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — DaxServer (t · m · e · c) 10:40, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Russo-Ukrainian War articles; biographies of living persons[edit]

(comment in non-admin capacity) A few things about your recent edits to Sarah Ashton-Cirillo:

First, please note that articles about Eastern Europe, living persons, and gender-related disputes are under special sanctions. I've left you the templated messages about this inside this box.

You have recently edited a page related to Eastern Europe or the Balkans, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

  • Information icon You have recently made edits related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. This is a standard message to inform you that articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics.
  • Information icon You have recently made edits related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them. This is a standard message to inform you that gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics.

Regarding Eastern Europe, there are further rules when it comes to the Russo-Ukrainian War. Specifically, there is a community consensus that editors who do not have the extendedconfirmed permission (usually granted at 500 edits and 30 days' tenure) may not edit about the war. In this case, I haven't completely reverted your edit, because part of it was a useful factual addition. But going forward, please follow this restriction, as failure to follow it can lead to a block from editing.

Regarding living people, please be aware that all contentious claims about a living person must be cited to a reliable source. You cited a rehosted RT article for a contentious claim about Ashton-Cirillo; there is a community consensus that RT is not a reliable source for any claim, let alone biographies of living persons.

I'm aware that's a lot of policy to throw at you, and I don't think you've deliberately done anything wrong here. Please let me know if you have any questions. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 20:54, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

thank you, I have cited a reliable source this time, I hope that helps - 20:56, 9 August 2023 (UTC) Nikolay Kazak (talk) 20:56, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
