[edit] Non-Free rationale for File:Lomanitz.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Lomanitz.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under Non-Free content criteria but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a Non-Free rationale.

If you have uploaded other Non-Free media, consider checking that you have specified the Non-Free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:21, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright problem: Honolulu Record

Hi, I've marked Honolulu Record as a copyright violation because it was originally copied from the Conservapedia article on Koji Ariyoshi and as far as I know we don't accept content copied from Conservapedia. Feel free to contest this at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. Dcoetzee 02:13, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

I have also tagged all other articles you've created since 2007 as copyright violations from Conservapedia. I have heard some people say that you are the original contributor of this work at Conservapedia, but I don't know whether this is true or not. If you are, you will need to edit your user page at Conservapedia to confirm that you are the sole author of this content that you copied. Otherwise it will be deleted. Dcoetzee 03:40, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Verifying identity

Hi. Unfortunately we don't have any kind of archived record to verify that you are also User:RobSmith at Conservapedia, since your userpage has been deleted. I went through the internet archives to look at every archived version of your userpage and didn't find anything in the snapshots they had stored. I see that you are blocked over there; are blocked contributors able to edit their own talk pages as they are here? If so, we might be able to work around this. :) If you could log in there and make a note on your talk page, we may be able to use the archive form at webcitation.org to permanently document the change to the talk page (we should document both the talk page as you have edited it and the history, so that we can demonstrate that you actually edited the page and somebody did not forge your note). I've never used this form, but I understand it's pretty straightforward--just requires putting in the full URL of the site, http:// and all, and an email address, which is not published.

Alternatively, do you know any administrators there who might be willing on my request to temporarily restore the history of your userpage so that I can find and document the verification you already placed? I had a look at the talk page of the admin who deleted it and am not entirely sure he'd be cooperative as he seems a bit inclined to take things personally. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:58, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

I have done as you suggested. Thank you. nobs (talk) 23:15, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
Fabulous! Thank you very much. I have taken a screenshot of your release and stored it in the OTRS system, so there is now permanent documentation that you are who you say you are. :) It can be accessed when there is need by OTRS agents at Ticket:2011111610024788. Is there any chance you could find some quiet space on your userpage where we can tuck this verification? Since our ticket search system is horrible, it'd save a lot of time in the future if our right to that content is challenged again. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:32, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
Ok, thank you. nobs (talk) 23:00, 16 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Disambiguation link notification

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit] Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited Jack Kirkland, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mandingo (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
