Zorya coaches[edit]

Do you have a reference for the new Zorya coaches? I didn't see anything in or Zorya's official website as of yet. Those references are needed. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 19:50, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Information.svg Hello Noel baran! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,994 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Oleksandr Mandzyuk - Find sources: "Oleksandr Mandzyuk" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images
  2. Denys Boyko - Find sources: "Denys Boyko" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images

Alexei Mikhailichenko[edit]

I've proposed that this article be moved back again. Please read WP:ENGLISH before moving any more biographies to names which are not used in English sources. Thank you. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 09:35, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Kyiv / Kiev[edit]

Dear Ev, excuse me, but now your contributions are only Russification of Kyiv. In my mind, better, if you see for acts of vandalism, if you wishn't write new materials for Wikipedia. Excuse me again, that I wrote some agressive words, but I really sadness--Noel baran (talk) 14:37, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi Noel :-) With my contributions I do not "Russif[y] Kyiv"; instead, I bring our articles into line with the requirements of Wikipedia's content policies (in this case, mainly Wikipedia:Article titles & Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names), which indicate that all articles mentioning the Ukrainian capital should use the same form used as title in the article on the city itself - i.e. Kiev). — If you have any doubts regarding these policies, I will be happy to clarify them. - Best regards, Ev (talk) 20:32, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

I new, that you answered me in this way... You myby not understend my (or other Ukrainians) reasons. I can continue the discussion, but for me it's too difficult in question my poor English. Unfortunatly. Sincerely, --Noel baran (talk) 11:44, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

I think that I do have, if not a perfect understanding, at least a general idea of your reasons for preferring Kyiv over Kiev. Those reasons would be that:
  • the form Kiev (commonly used in most Western languages, including my native Spanish) is based on the Russian name of the city, not the Ukrainian one.
  • Ukraine was under Russian control for a long period of time, until 1991. The continued usage of the form Kiev (based on the Russian name of the city) would signify the continuation of the country's Russification or even a reivindication of the city's "Russianness". — On the other hand, adopting the form Kyiv (based on the Ukrainian name of the city) would signify a recognition of the country's newly archieved independence.
  • using the form Kyiv would imply respect towards the desires of a significant portion of the Ukrainian society, and the request of the Ukrainian government. Using the form Kyiv would respect the self-determination of the newly-independent Ukraine.
Do I understand your reasons correctly ? :-) Best, Ev (talk) 14:07, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Yes, of course;). But here present more irrational aspects:)... But I anderstending reasons of Western peoples, that have own tradition, and too difficult rewrite something:)--Noel baran (talk) 15:31, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I can imagine the more emotional aspects; they are present all across the Wikipedia "frontlines" (cf. [1] & [2]). In any case, remember that a few decades ago English-language publications commonly referred to the Chinese capital as Peking, while today the form Beijing has been widely adopted. The same change could eventually happen in the case of the Ukrainian capital. :-) — If, at some point in the future, the form Kyiv replaces the form Kiev as the one most English-speakers would most easily recognize, our articles will reflect that shift in usage. Greetings from Argentina, a country not devoid of Ukrainian culture. :-) Ev (talk) 16:46, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

I read this articles, that you showed. M-da, not easy have middle way among all misunderstendings:(. This the main reason why I created only football articles - less problems. With best regards!--Noel baran (talk) 19:24, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Roman Bezus[edit]

The tag I added to the article was just to point out problems with the article. It did not mean that the article had to be removed from wikipedia. The reason I tagged the article is because it is a biogrophy of a living person (BLP). Due to leagal concerns, we have very high standards for BLP articles. These articles must be well referenced, and use inline citations. I see that the article has a list of external links, perhaps some of those could be used as references. Just make sure to have a references section, where the sources used in the article are listed. Regards, RadManCF open frequency 14:56, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Kerzonenko and others[edit]

Pryvit! I was just snooping and looking around and I'm noticing a lot of players who use to have a high profile are now without a club... Either they have retired or have been sacked. Sometimes there is no news at all on what has happened to them. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 17:25, 10 March 2010 (UTC) It's exellent! I sow, that some footballers on UPL site is 'playings', but really - free agents (for example Zotov), and difficult to find real information--Noel baran (talk) 17:37, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Ukraine U-21 Team[edit]

Pryvit! I want to query your addition of players to the Ukraine U-21 team, in particular those of whom are designated to the Training Squad for 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. First of all it is in the section of "Current Team" and none of those players are current team members especially when there are players who are involved in the current 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. Can you please move those players to another area and not give them such a high profile? Brudder Andrusha (talk) 19:38, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

If you want, can removed thees footballers, becouse for me will be to difficult create new page. Single problem - my knowlage of English. I able to use old construction, but to create new...:((..

But I hoped, that for next game with Malta some part of theme will be call on main squad, and not be needing to write:))--Noel baran (talk) 21:10, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

OK. I'll clean it up but since it is referenced it is valid information for the team (at least for the future) Brudder Andrusha (talk) 22:19, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Some other: why you removed many top-scorers in First Ukr. League? In my mind better, when are 10 and more, that less...--Noel baran (talk) 21:10, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
A couple of reasons. If you look at the ПФЛ webpage for Перша Ліга we are supposed to reference the goal scorers. If that list doesn't have them they shouldn't really be there. Also if the list grows too large then it is hard to manage. We have plenty of other information on the competition pages - Premier, Persha and Druha so we have to be concise and that if folks want more information they should be going to external sites to get that information. Also it gives us a reason to update and follow the competition. Those who do follow the Persha liha know who is next in the list and then they can update the information when the next round happens.
BTW I do thank you for your contributions thus far this season. They are very helpful especially on players and for links that do not exist. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 22:19, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Fedorchuk or Mandziuk (Who scored the Penalty?)[edit]

I want to bring your attention a discrepancy which I found in the official PFL/FFU match reports for the Round 2 game between FC Lviv and Desna. The following link is to the communciation I had with our colleagues in YKPAIHA (WIKI:uk) Федорчук (ФК Львів). We will probably have to leave it as per PFL site but they have the wrong scorer. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 13:31, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

I watched it only on But if you have information about every match and scorings, you can remove it!--Noel baran (talk) 15:21, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
I'm going to leave it as per ПФЛ, otherwise we might have a conflict with other editors. I just wanted to bring to your attention that not all information that we get is correct. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 15:43, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

re: References[edit]

Hello Noel baran. You are welcome.

I don't read Ukrainian (I know a few words, that's all) so I use Google Translate to check articles. I hope I haven't made any mistakes with Polischuk's article, but it appears he hasn't played for Sevastopol's first team yet. Do you know if he made a debut? Best regards. Jogurney (talk) 18:43, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

No worries. I found the match report from yesterday's match and see he made a debut. I'll add it to the article. Thank you. Jogurney (talk) 18:47, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

About Maicon[edit]

Hello, somebody add Maicon in Ukr.First League as person, that scored 7. But I now only about 6. Is it mistake?--Noel baran (talk) 19:57, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

I have him scoring in R17, R18(2), R22, R23(pen), R24(2 pen) - That is 7 goals (3 pen). PFL has 4 penalties. Also it would be good if you could create a player article for him. He has had a good season and has also scored in the Kubok competition. We have dead links all over the place for him. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 20:11, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for creating a stub for this player. I think he will end up at some bigger club some day. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 14:12, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Persha liha goalscorers[edit]

Can you check Muxovykov and Pavlov as actually scoring 8 goals thus far? I have Muxovykov at 7 goals and Pavlol at 6 goals. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 17:09, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

I not shure about this, but, I saw it at FFU Off. Site for Pavlov. But now I cheked it: too much mistakes (like in my English:(). Concretly: I take these 6 scorings and add 2 todays=8. Please, corrected it in right way! Excuse me--Noel baran (talk) 18:45, 3 May 2010 (UTC).
I saw that PFL updated the goalscorer list as well... Ill go through the "PFL kalendar" and see what I find. I'll post it here. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 19:24, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
I hadn't update my list for Volyn's 4-0 win on April 29 when Pavlov scored twice. Also for Muxovykov I had him misspelt so my search engine was always missing a goal for him. All is good - thanks. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 14:11, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

About #11[edit]

Hey there. Yeah, it seems you're right since he's wearing 11 shirt of official pics. But when I reverted it there's no such concern cause Palkin said that Ilsinho's number is free and MAYBE Eduardo would take it cause it suits for striker. Feel the difference. I taken my eye on everything going on around Shakhtar so there's no need to enlight me on something. YKPAIHA U-21[edit]

Pryvit! You made a modification in the Ukraine U-21 for the squad about recent callup which should really be the last time played for the U-21. Recent call up training is not repesenting the National Team in a game. Can you move that information to another area which exists - "Preparatory squad" because that is what it exactly is? Ukraine national under-18 football team[edit]

Article is posted for a speedy deletion on grounds of notability. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 10:12, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

I understand your pain. The under-18 team does not compete in any official tournaments although do compete in friendlies in preparation to under-19 and under-21 competitions. No one keeps a track of the article as well. There is a little or no information available. I think it would be sufficient to mention the existence of such a team in other articles such as about the Football Federation of Ukraine or Football of Ukraine or maybe create a general article about youth football competitions in Ukraine. What is a point of an empty article if no one follows it? I also posted for speedy deletion the article for under-16 team and I think there is no need for the article about the under-17 as well. In my opinion we should combine them into one article like Ukrainian junior football teams or similar to that. A lot of the youngsters won't even make into the Big Football and achievements of the coaching staff is not so impressive at that level. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 11:36, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

I'm not agree, because 23-persons squad was called up for match against Romania, and now, 21-persons - against Sweden. In what way I or you or somebody will do updating in evening? Upd Feb.09, but squad called up Feb.08??? nonsense - for everybody, who occasionally visit this page it'll be strange. I VERY propose to back previous variant!--Noel baran (talk) 17:55, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Think of it this way! Will you change the squad when it is announced for Euro 2012? The UFF called up 23 players for 2 matches and that is the squad that was announced for the first game. It was unknown who Ukraine would play after that announcement. The recent call up is clear that the friendly matches are for a specific tournament which is over 2 days. Ukraine has played in this tournament before and the same editing and notation was used. Please leave!!! Brudder Andrusha (talk)
Ok--Noel baran

Fully pro leagues[edit]

I would like to reply to your comment made at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Oļegs Malašenoks. I am replying here since that afd will probably be closed shortly. While the Virsliga clearly isn't an amateur league, there are some part-timers playing there. In order to grant notability to the players playing in a certain league, there must be clear sourcing that all players playing in that league are full-time professionals. This is not the case in Latvia. I hope that answers your question. Cheers. Sir Sputnik (talk) 19:39, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
