Disambiguation link notification for February 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Travels with Charley: In Search of America, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sauk Centre (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). This is a general notice to previous reviewers: The Tadeusz Kościuszko article has again been nominated for FA. Opinions are needed at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Tadeusz Kościuszko/archive2. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 01:36, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Labas[edit]

Hello! Nice to see you still around. Yeah, that article was long overdue. It had been sitting in my userspace for.. (gasp!) 4 years. Still needs an "evaluation" section... Anyway, knocking on wood that spring finally decides to stay... Renata (talk) 15:22, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Oil shale in Estonia[edit]

Hi, Novickas. I have recently worked on Oil shale in Estonia with an aim to bring it to GA and later FA level. It still needs a lot of work before any nomination but I have a feeling that it is time for some fresh views and assistance. As you have contributed significantly to the FA and GA level oil shale related articles, I am wonder if you may be interested to assist also this time? Thank you in advance. Beagel (talk) 16:48, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi, Novickas. Thank you keeping eye on my talk page. Probably you noticed that I am without permanent Internet connection at the moment and can edit only occasionally. It would probably continue for one more week or so. I don't expect that the GA review would start during that period but if it does I hope you could take a care of addressing issues raising during the review process. I would like to thank you in advance. Beagel (talk) 16:01, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
As my kids would say...Yo, Beagel. Well, like you, I might or might not have Internet access over the next couple of weeks. The natural world is calling. But if by some chance it comes up for review and you'd like me to respond about something, but I don't, you could mention this post and ask that it be postponed for a week or so, no? Regards, Novickas (talk) 16:25, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
Once more, thank you, Novickas. If necessary, I will use this option of postponement. And I hope that "the natural world is calling" means your holidays, in which case I wish all the best and a lot of positive emotions. Beagel (talk) 07:20, 11 August 2014 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Hi, Novickas. The GA review process has started and there are several comments which should be clarified or fixed. I will start dealing with them but maybe you could also take a look and help to address concerns. Thank you in advance. Beagel (talk) 19:39, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Council of Lithuania[edit]

Hi Novickas,

Thank you for your work on the Signatories of the Act of Independence of Lithuania article! I have nominated it along with two other articles for a featured topic candidacy. Some concerns have been raised there, specifically with respect to sourcing. I do not know Lithuanian, and I am having some difficulty with the sources. Any help you would be able to provide in addressing these concerns would be greatly appreciated.

Neelix (talk) 17:11, 24 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi Novickas,
I greatly appreciate your willingness to return to these articles so they can be promoted to featured topic status. I think that the issue that is most in need of addressing is the fact that several of the paragraphs in the Act of Independence of Lithuania article end with unsourced statements. I do not know Lithuanian, and I am unsure where to find the relevant sources. Does this still look like something that you will have time to work on?
Neelix (talk) 17:08, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi User:Neelix - I think I can address the not-cited issues at that article pretty soon - within the next couple of days. It might also involve removing a few sentences here and there, that I'm not finding either in LT or EN sources, but no major changes. Getting into Alphonse and Gaston territory: thank you for pursuing this. Novickas (talk) 21:34, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

Graptolitic argillite[edit]

Hi, Novickas. Thank you very much for your assistance. I started the article on Graptolitic argillite by copying iformation from Oil shale in Estonia and just changing its first paragraph but, of course, it needs more than that. You are most welcome to add, remove and rewrite that. I myself have some problems with concentration today, so I will not edit it myself before tomorrow. Beagel (talk) 20:08, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Oil shale in Estonia -- next steps[edit]

Hi, Novickas. Thank you once more for your invaluable help with the Oil shale in Estonia article. The GA review done by Spinningspark was thorough and therefore very useful. I finished to resolve the remaining topic with oil shale coke and semi-coke by creating a new article Spent shale which should address these issues.

I am looking forward to nominate the Oil shale in Estonia article for FAC but probably for this we need more fresh looks and thorough high quality reviews. Do you have any ideas who might be interested and able to do a review or just to go through the article? It was years ago when we prepared the main oil shale article for nomination and that time 4u1e and JMiall assisted with informal peer reviews. Unfortunately I don't know if they are interested about the topic any more and it seems that 4u1e has not been very active recently. During the Shale oil extraction process H Padleckas helped with review, but he also seems to be inactive recently. When it was already in the FAC process, Mike Christie's review was very useful. However, I don't know if he is interested about the pre-FAC review or he concentrates only to FAC reviews. I also think that maybe we should ask CorinneSD if she is interested to go through this article. It is probably not the topic of her core interests but the article is related to geology and (industrial) history, so maybe it would be worth to ask her. Do you have any other ideas? Beagel (talk) 21:08, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Beagel -- I'd be glad to go over Oil shale in Estonia. I'm always glad to read a science article. Aside from minor copy-edits, if I have any questions or concerns, where would you like me to post them? CorinneSD (talk) 23:26, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
I've already found a few things in the lead. I don't know how much you trust me to make some changes, or do you want me to run each concern by you first? CorinneSD (talk) 23:46, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Hello Beagel and CorinneSD. Beagel, I'm impressed by your ambition and also by your finding Corinne, who seems just right here since she has a range of interests. The article's scope (history and energy and technology) is quite unique (that's a copy editor's in-joke) among FAs. But I've not been very active for the past couple of years, so I couldn't think of more than one possible peer reviewer: User:Ruhrfisch, who has brought articles to FA and has edited recently. Where to discuss it - I think centralize at its talk page. Plenty of room. Regards to both of you, Novickas (talk) 01:15, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, Novickas. I already got started, but I put the comments on User:Beagel's talk page instead of the article's talk page. You can move everything over there if you want to. CorinneSD (talk) 01:25, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
I moved comments to Talk:Oil_shale_in_Estonia#Informal_review_by_CorinneSD and responded there. Beagel (talk) 20:45, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the mention, but I am not doing Peer Reviews (or much else here) anymore. Sorry, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 20:01, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
Wikipedia's loss, User:Ruhrfisch. Thanks for the reply and happy holidays, Novickas (talk) 16:08, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
