You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for repeated blatant image copyright violations. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Fut.Perf. 16:47, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Request reason:

I've been editing articles for Wikipedia for 4 years. When I went against Wiki's policy, I was not intending to do any harm. I apologize and it won't happen again.PKDASD (talk) 6:36 pm, Yesterday (UTC+1)

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yunshui  07:40, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first and then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page for as long as you are blocked.

I uploaded copyrighted images that I knew probably violated Wikipedia's policy on copyright violations. It won't happen again. I'm not sure what else you folks want from me. I'm not going to grovel. I've been adding and editing articles for years with no problems. We all make mistakes, right? I formally request that you unblock me so I can continue to help improve Wikipedia as a whole. I believe this issue started with me uploading an image of actress Jennifer Jason Leigh. She had no photo on her article and I thought she should have one. I mean porn stars have their images. So I found a picture of her on the net and uploaded it. Guilty as charged. I don't know what else to say.PKDASD (talk) 13:59, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

Decline reason:

The fact you state you knowingly uploaded copyvio images is extremely concerning. There's a differnce between making an honest mistake and deliberately choosing to violate not just Wikipedia policy, but a Wikipedia policy with legal considerations. The fact that you did this, combined with the fact that (contrary to your statement below) you were warned about copyright violations with regards to images and yet continued uploading images you knew/suspected violated Wikipedia's copyright policy, means that the ability to assume good faith that the problem won't recur after an unblock is...limited. I'd suggest you make use of the WP:STANDARDOFFER instead - editing on Wikipedia Commons for awhile, uploading images and avoiding copyright violations there, would go a long way to building a level of trust to allow for an unblocking. Comment Looking at your history, I see a long pattern willful disregard (i.e., blanking the copyvio warnings every time you received one), which is concerning. It took a block for you to finally acknowledge the problem. OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:11, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Given that you've been editing for years, and given the amount of times you've been reminded about image copyright policy, why did you upload the material if you 'knew [it] probably violated' policy? Yes we all make mistakes, but if you knew when you were doing it that the mistake constituted a copyright violation - i.e. a crime - why go ahead anyway? Olaf Davis (talk) 23:30, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

I guess I felt that images are an important addition to certain articles. I knew at times what I was doing violated Wikipedia's copyright policies. Please believe me when I tell you it won't happen again. The one thing that kind of upsets me is I was given no warning that a block was imminent. If that happened I would have mended my "evil ways" and all this would not have had to happen. But I suppose that's water under the proverbial bridge. I beg of you, please unblock me. I know what is correct and what is not.PKDASD (talk) 00:19, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

You have been warned in the past, you blanked the warning without comment and carried on without any change in behavior. - The Bushranger One ping only 02:04, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

Message received. I find this whole process draconian and perhaps it's best I just walk away from Wikipedia. It's too bad because I'm a pretty good editor...PKDASD (talk) 02:39, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

This is not another vain attempt to get unblocked. This is an attempt to reach The Bushranger: Look man, at least I had the stones to stand up like a man and openly admit my errors. Instead of lying or whining, etc. Instead of perhaps a bit of credit where it's due, you used my admissions as ammunition to really drive home the point of what a *%@$@ up I am. So now I'm banned for a minimum of 6 months. And I have to kiss ass and grovel to some administrator. Anyway, you have the power and I have to take my lumps which I believe to be much too harsh. Well bully for you I guess. I have changed my mind and will take your advise to do what needs to be done in order to mend my evil ways and once again become an active and respected member of the Wikipedia community.PKDASD (talk) 15:52, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

Decline reason:

An unblock request is NOT a method to discuss, draw attention, or attack. You'd just provided sufficient proof that Bushranger was correct in both their decline of the unblock, and the suggestion that you might need a few months away to review your a) interaction style, and b) apparently, mature in some manner. As such, I will be locking this talkpage from access for 6 months - when you return, you'll now need to do an even better job at showing your ability to work within not only the community rules, but the norms - because attacks are NOT acceptable the panda ₯’ 10:40, 31 May 2014 (UTC)

NON ADMIN COMMENT The Admins Have a Point When they Say That this is a serous Violation of Policy. I also never heard about Any advice.... ...What was that advice? Happy Attack Dog (Bark! Bark!) 18:33, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

I copied and pasted what Bushranger suggested I do to be a good boy. You know it's a well known fact that Wikipedia is suffering from not having enough editors and also that many people consider Wiki to be a joke. On Jay Leno a while back a guest stated he learned something off Wikipedia and the crowd burst out in laughter. I was a good editor who made some idiotic mistakes. Instead of being given a second chance, I'm blocked for a minimum of six goddamn months. Bushranger is a sweetheart. Must be from a military or law enforcement background.
