RE:Template:Welsh Premier League seasons[edit]

Sorry if you were wondering what was going on. I had problems with the templates and had to rename one as two templates were just duplicating themselves. I have ameded this now and there is now two season sections. One is League of Wales and the other is Welsh Premier League. Onshore

Although the league changed in 2002? Also I didn't try to delete the League of Wales seasons as it was in use until 2002. I had to change League of Wales seasons to League of Wales seasons (1992-2002) because it was duplicating the information with Welsh Premier League seasons Onshore

Okay fair point. Well it's now says "League of Wales / Welsh Premier League" hope you have no objections to this? and we'll leave it at that Onshore

So what is going to happen when the Welsh Premier League is split into two divisions in a few seasons from now? Onshore P.S. I'll leave the navbox as it is because at this rate it would have just blown out as a fude or something

Also Thank You for sorting out the caregories, it was taking me ages trying to change it to League of Wales :-) Onshore

Tottenham Hotspur[edit]

so why can't the badge be used...when in the club season football infobox there is a section labelled "logo =" and the description being "{{{logo}}} — The club logo."?

FC Shortcuts[edit]

Just a quick tip for you. The next time you wish to link a football club all you need to do is type {{fc|Team Name}} rather than the full name. I did that on the Derby County record. NoseNuggets (talk) 1:46 PM US EDT May 14 2008

Fabio[edit]

I've been writing articles for 5 years on Wiki and that's not how I interpret the spirit of wiki - you will find lots of reserve team players on here so how do you justify this decision? Theo Walcott was a prime example and I could point out lots of examples

David Healy[edit]

What is wrong with the David Healy page of his international carrer if you merge it with the main page it makes the list longer.

last comment[edit]

'You should also realise that they didn't use the same formation in every match'. What am I supposed to know. my opinion is that scolari always used a 5-3-2 formation with Brazil and yet you criticize me for not knowing. I take it you are another one of the upper class snobs in wikipedia who claim to be right about everything.

formation for Brazil.[edit]

have a look at formation (association football) on wikipedia and have a look at 3-5-2 and you will see Brazil 2002 World Cup winner played it all the way throughout the tournament. Ronaldinho played as a central midfielder and Rivaldo played as a striker alongside Ronaldo and Cafu and Roberto Carlos played as wingers.

yep I was right about you. you are an arrogant upper class snob who claims to know everything like everyone on wikipedia. just because people get things wrong you like to put people down by showing off your arrogance.

enforcing policy!!!! why are u involved with people who want to make people be wrong all the time and writing u should do this and that and effectively saying ha you're wrong and I'm right and I am the best because I am a computer master with wikipedia who has got A's and B's in computer science or whatever and there is nothing u can do about it. why mate? why be involved with nasty people like that.

alplogy accepted. at least there is some decent human beings around.

Rodrigo Possebon nationality[edit]

Hey PeeJay2K3, I got a question and a subject that I think should be changed. Why is Rodrigo Possebon nationality is presented as Italy and not Brazil? even tho he did play for the Italian national team he played in the under-20 team, which by FIFA does not mean he can not play or present in the senior team the country of birth which is Brazil.

Bithplace of Park JiSung[edit]

Back in April, you just couldn't resist changing the birthplace back to Seoul could you. Fuck me are you such a stupid and ignorant racist you just can't stomach the fact that the Koreans actually know where their own captain is born!!!!!

I am sorry to be so rude but I see you added an opinion piece from the London Times' as that some how justifies that Europeans know better than the Korea's Yonhap News agency, Korean Times and equivalent FT.

You are one thick fuck. For the final time I will explain and try and get it into your racist little imperialist head (see you were you born on the right side of Orchard Road). He was not born in Seoul he was born in Goheung county. As the Korean sources plainly show. He might have even had his birth certificate registered in Seoul too but he was not born there. Many in S.Korea including my own wife is registered as Seoul even though they were born elsewhere. OK. It's the culture to be associated with the capital. Nearly everywhere else is seen as bumpkin.

But no, you had to change it again based on whiteman's sources, like they don't copy the lie that you keep holding on to huh?? Fucking faggot, just want your own way?? I wonder how many other times people will copy you lies thus keeping the lies going in an ever growing circle. Maybe you might understand how important it is to get things right when your IQ gets to three figures

The article Richmond Road ground has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. European Cup and Champions League Seasons[edit]

Does it. Makes the final looks the same as the all the other games leading up to it, and looks like another match played in that season. There is nothing wrong with duplicating the match details showing the players who played in the final.

Super Bowl XLVIII[edit]

Why is it overkill to put in more pertinent stats of the game? This should be a web encyclopedia where more information is beneficial and essential. Please respond. Thanks.

mkbngr

What I added for stats are usually included in official accounts of NFL games and especially the Super Bowl. Things such as punt returns, kickoff returns. Most fans looking for a stats page expect things like that; I think they would also want it here. To me, that is what I would consider as pertinent. I hope enough users of this would be in favor of that.

Hi, I just noticed you removed the reference I added for the dates on the page, How come? The previous season had the same reference for the dates (I didn't add it) and it makes the dates sourced. Kind regards Lukejordan02 (talk) 20:58, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
@Lukejordan02: Would you mind removing that reference again? It's unnecessary either this season or last, as each game has its own reference for all the game data (including the date). I would do it myself, but since another editor was unable to abide by WP:BRD, I've been blocked for a week. – PeeJay 16:01, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Done it, can I have a Barnstar? :) Lukejordan02 (talk) 16:06, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
I promise I'll give you one when I get my editing privileges back. – PeeJay 16:07, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
@PeeJay2K3:, @Lukejordan02:. Hi, I believe that Statto has changed definition of the position and when holding over it just says "League position after match", but it seems they still use matchday but without alphabetical order when tied on points and goal diff. They currently have United as 16th and from first day they have both Arsenal and Swansea as first. Do you think they have same pos if teams have same goal-diff, that is not order by name. See table with same positions for some teams. We should follow source I believe so put United as 16th? QED237 (talk) 21:04, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
@Qed237: I just did a spot-check of one of my old Man Utd yearbooks, and they've done the club's position after the entire weekend's matches (or midweek as the case may be). I'm happy to go with whatever decision is made, provided we can come up with a decent rationale for doing it that way and the articles remain stable. Naturally, I'm sure some wanker anons will come along and tell us that some other way is better, but if we can document our reasoning for making whatever decision we come to, we'll at least have a leg to stand on. – PeeJay 21:11, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Yes I agree some decision has to be made and I am considering to ask at wt:footy. Currently many just has league tables as source which is clearly WP:OR so a general consensus would be great. Perhaps even to use Statoo for other countries as well. QED237 (talk) 21:17, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Agreed, just sourcing the league table is not sufficient; we need to source the position after each game/matchday, and a page that changes after every match isn't going to show positions going back several weeks, months or even years. And yes, Statto is a fantastic resource for various countries, so I would wholeheartedly support using them as a source for positions by round in any country they cover. – PeeJay 21:23, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Yes statoo could be used a lot more. For example results grid for main league season article, league table (if we should not use primary source always, winning sequencies (used in infobox on main league season article). Unfortunatelyy they dont source "positions by round" as many leagues have completely unsourced. For example 2013–14 La Liga has a "position by round"-table source only by a league table. August 2014[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at Manchester United F.C. and List of Manchester United F.C. players. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Chillum 13:41, 17 August 2014 (UTC)

The duration of this block is longer than before due to your history of edit warring. Chillum 13:42, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know, Chillum. I hope you recognise, however, that I wouldn't have to edit war if other editors were capable of respecting the WP:BRD process; I therefore also hope that you have punished the other party with proportionate severity. – PeeJay 15:28, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Yes, the other editor also does not seem to understand that we only have very clear exemptions to 3rr and that other excuses to do apply. The other editor also has a long history of edit warring. The other editor also got a 1 week block due to prior blocks not being effective.
You two might really get along in another time and place. Chillum 15:32, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
@Chillum: To paraphrase a favourite Star Trek quote of mine, "In a different reality, I could have called [him] friend." – PeeJay 15:35, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Good one. Chillum 15:36, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
Oh well, see you in a week. – PeeJay 15:37, 17 August 2014 (UTC)

@Chillum: I probably shouldn't be concerning myself with the future actions of the other party that caused my current block, but I hope you will take note of the edit summaries he used to purge his talk page. He doesn't seem to be taking Wikipedia very seriously at all – in fact, it seems like he's only here to troll the site and get in the hair of established editors like myself who have Wikipedia's best interests at heart by pushing the limits of the system. I hope this will be taken into account when administering further punishments to him. – PeeJay 17:46, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

The edit summaries are no big deal. I think there is a difference between a troll and someone who cannot or will not follow our edit warring policy. Chillum 20:10, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
This is true, but the guy has a track record of making troll-esque edits, as I have noticed from his contribution history and his talk page. – PeeJay 21:34, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

Help wanted[edit]

Hi, I know you are currently blocked but if you could talk me through a problem I would really appreciate it, on the 2014–15 Manchester United F.C. season page the see also and references sections that are listed under the transfer section does not show up for some reason, but if you go to edit the page it is there, I know you can't edit but you can still click it and it shows you. Cheers. Lukejordan02 (talk) 19:26, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

You need to close the ref tag on the Nani loan. Instead of <ref name="Rojo">, it should read <ref name="Rojo"/>. – PeeJay 22:04, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Also, you need to revert User:Moonraker™'s last edit to the Manchester United F.C. article as not only has he undone several days' worth of edits, he's also clearly acting in violation of WP:POINT. – PeeJay 22:06, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
I think I am going to report him for personal attacks, what do you think? Lukejordan02 (talk) 22:12, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
If you think it's worth it. Just undo the edit for now and see how he reacts. If he carries on with the personal attacks, then report him. – PeeJay 22:28, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Have done, thanks for the help. By the way you being blocked just goes to show what a shitty website Wikipedia really is because I don't think I've come across a more useful editor than you, thanks again. Lukejordan02 (talk) 22:32, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Maybe so, but I deserved it this time. Edit warring is wrong, regardless of the situation, and edit summaries are not an adequate substitute for a talk page discussion. I learned my lesson, and I hope User:RealDealBillMcNeal has too. Btw, next time someone makes a personal attack against you, I would advise you not to attack them back; keep yourself on the high ground. – PeeJay 22:37, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Did I attack back? Lukejordan02 (talk) 22:39, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
You don't think "Know more about United then you mate" is a personal attack? It may not be particularly aggressive, but it's still a pretty barbed comment that really wasn't necessary. I make comments about anonymous vandals, but they're always tongue-in-cheek. – PeeJay 22:44, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
I suppose it could be seen as one although I don't and it wasn't intended as one but rather something for him to take in mind before he makes comments like he did again, plus it always annoys me when these "so called" United fans make believe they know the ins and outs, when a lot of them are band-wagon jumpers, I don't know how long you've been a United fan but the crowds these days are full of rich people that don't want to sing compared to years back when you would go to a game and come back deaf and with a sore throat. Lukejordan02 (talk) 22:49, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
I know what you mean. I was at the Valencia game the other week and the atmosphere was a lot better than any league games I've been to because proper fans were able to go instead of the prawn sandwich brigade. Did a bit of singing myself, although I couldn't sing some of the lyrics as I was in the family stand. – PeeJay 22:53, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
Ha Ha, I know what you mean, unfortunately I can't go to the games as much as I used to, can't afford it (Petrol and the works) but the memories are there. Nice speaking to you again and I look forward to your return to editing, keeping the articles in check without you has been a challenge with people being speedies that want to be the first to list the transfers before they have even passed the medical and signed. Lukejordan02 (talk) 22:59, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

Eng v Ind T20 umpires[edit]

@Lugnuts: Not sure why you removed the umpires from the England v India T20 match. Gough and Robinson are listed as the umpires for the Only T20I on Cricinfo (see here). – PeeJay 16:39, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, my bad! I thought it was vandalism based on the previous edit I made and that none of the ODI matches had the umpires. Reverted it back - thanks for pinging me. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:02, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
@Lugnuts: No worries. I'd have done it myself, but I'm still blocked for another couple of days. – PeeJay 19:31, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Patrice Evra[edit]

Hi there - this matter has been discussed before at WP:FOOTY and the BLP noticeboard, unreferenced material about BLPs needs citing, especially when someone challenges the content (as I have done). Just because you see nothing objectionable does not mean that the content is fine, if that makes sense? GiantSnowman 14:53, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

If there are sources in the prose which confirm the team honours, then there is no harm, and an awful lot of good, from directly citing the honours using ref name =. GiantSnowman 16:19, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

Hello[edit]

Hi, Peejay glad to see your back, but could I kindly ask that you revert your edit here which you removed as unnecessary. That may be the case but every single previous united season article has that and until a consensus to remove it exists, I think it should stay. Kind regards. Lukejordan02 (talk) 15:25, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

Flag of Hungary[edit]

I have written to you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:1963%E2%80%9364_European_Cup, but you didn't me reply

I am copying here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Hungary#Evolution

we read : "In 1957, during the Stalinist restoration after the revolution was defeated by the Soviet Red Army, the new government created a "new" coat of arms, which however was never officially put onto the flag. Therefore the official flag of Hungary has been a pure red-white-green tricolour since 1957.

And: "After the fall of communism in 1989 there was no need to change the flag, as it did not bear any communist insignia

What do you say?--Unikalinho (talk) 15:25, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

Eh?[edit]

Why would I get blocked for providing sourced content that you have removed without a valid reason, and instead resorting to abusing me? RealDealBillMcNeal (talk) 20:20, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
