Slovak National Uprising Square[edit]

Kriváň[edit]

Nice job expanding the Kriváň article! Anyway, have you considered putting it on WP:DYK? MarkBA what's up?/my mess 23:21, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Although I don't have an exact suggestion, I think something from history or maybe from cultural significance could be fine. MarkBA what's up?/my mess 09:28, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent work! The article definitely should be nominated for DYK. I think Mark's suggestion to choose something from history of cultural significance is very good. Another alternative for DYK could be the interesting fact that Krivan was considered the highest mountain of the Carpathians until the 19th century. Tankred (talk) 02:07, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Your suggestion sounds also interesting, so let's see what will be chosen in case they'll like our hooks. I just felt there was nothing from Slovakia on DYK for some time so this was a good opportunity to put something there. MarkBA what's up?/my mess 16:30, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DYK[edit]

Updated DYK query On 16 March, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Kriváň (peak), which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Nice article, congratulations! --Espresso Addict (talk) 03:50, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Štrbské Pleso[edit]

Thank you. There's still some uncertainty around this, so I'm not exactly sure to whom it belongs, but I've seen no significant news about this for some time, and hence I assume that the ref is still "valid". By the way, I think you deserve some praise for your edits; Wikipedia needs more like you (yes, that old phrase again). MarkBA what's up?/my mess 22:29, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I think that were just the basics; with your skills I would imagine you to expand it more so it's a real Start. I think you could also expand Culture of Slovakia and Slovak literature, both of which are shaming stubs of key importance. Of course I may overestimate, but basing on your edits I thought you may have easier time editing them than me. MarkBA what's up?/my mess 19:10, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your words. Unfortunately, as you see, despite the evidence, the admins refused to do anything. You got the main points - disrespectful communication, putting text through a machine translator and I would say an unwillingness from both sides to do something. I think this is disrespectful, he wrote several personal attacks but no one cares. MarkBA what's up?/my mess 08:18, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Award[edit]

The Slovak Ribbon of National Merit
I, Tankred, award you this Ribbon of National Merit for outstanding expansion of several important Slovakia-related articles. Tankred (talk) 03:23, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've nominated Michał Kulesza, an article you worked on, for consideration to appear on the Main Page as part of Wikipedia:Did you know. You can see the hook for the article here, where you can improve it if you see fit. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 02:12, 16 September 2010 (UTC) (on behalf of User:Piotrus)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Kazaky[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kazaky requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. noclador (talk) 01:59, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
