Chaotic[edit]

Why do you keep splitting that section out into its own article? It works quite well in the complete Chaotic article, and I can't see any justification for splitting it.—Kww(talk) 16:37, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Why would scattering the information in various places be better?—Kww(talk) 17:07, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

The Singles Collection[edit]

So what, it HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED by any reliable source, and at this point in time, 100% rumor. Rumors should not be on official templates. ---Shadow (talk) 17:28, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

The page has already been labeled for deletion, and not a single person has objected the deletion, so it should disappear soon. ---Shadow (talk) 17:32, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Ok the album has been revealed by Britney's website, and I support keeping the album now. Please go to this page to voice your support of keeping the page. ---Shadow (talk) 00:04, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Singles Collection (Britney Spears album)

CHRIS COX MEGAMIX[edit]

The article is called just Megamix because some people is not smart enough to do a little research before star articles, or because they don't have a copy of the album THAT LISTS THE SONG AS "CHRIS COX MEGAMIX"... The name of the article doesn't matter, what really matters is the use of the real name on the links or when we mention the song!!! Fortunato luigi (talk) 01:54, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Fortunato luigi

I try to move the article to "Chris Cox Megamix" but someone created an article there before, and wiki forbid me to move it there, so i move it to "Chris Cox Megamix (Britney Spears song)" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fortunato luigi (talkcontribs) 21:44, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Breathe on Me[edit]

so it looks like the vinyl is not an official release. unofficial releases do not matter. that's problem #1. Problem #2 is that even if it was official, the cover shown in the "reference" is not the cover you put in the info box. Problem #3 is that the image does not have source information, nor does it have a fair use rationale. If you want the image to be used, please show where you got it from and how it's from an official release, because the article pretty much says otherwise. thanks. SKS (talk) 00:19, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Hence, why it shouldn't be on there. Please note that information on Wikipedia must be verifiable by reliable sources, and it also must be notable. If it's an unofficial release, how can it be notable? And if it's not notable, what's the point of putting up a fan-made cover on there? SKS (talk) 16:04, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

That's Where You Take Me[edit]

I added "That's Where You Take Me" to Notable songs, cuz PEOPLE keeps removing it from the template. It was a promo single in Philipines, just there, but if i try to add it to promo releases or a single, SOMEONE will remove it again. I hope u can leave it on the notable songs section. Please. Fortunato luigi (talk) 21:33, 9 August 2009 (UTC) Fortunato luigi

Thanks for accept TWYTM in that section. And sorry if i gave the impression that i blame u for remove all the things that i add o edit, it is just that a lot o people try to change the tamplate with incorrect info and eventually, some right changes just dissapear, and that gets me mad. Fortunato luigi (talk) 21:42, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi
I would strongly suggest that, unless I've been involved in previous AfDs that I'm not remembering, or the editors you are approaching about this have been selected by a highly neutral and unbiased process, that you don't invite any editors to partake in an AfD.
AfD is not a vote, and WP:CANVASSING for opinions will only weaken your position, per that guideline.
For that reason, I now pretty much can't voice an opinion in that AfD.
Kind regards, Amalthea 21:27, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi! Unfortunately, I need to agree with Amalthea because of the biased tone that the message that you left on my talk page was. Remember when WP:CANVASSING that you remain non-partisan, even though you nominated the article yourself and obviously would like to see it deleted. I now honestly cannot remain unbiased in that particular deletion discussion and can't vote in it. Good luck with the outcome!
Have a nice day. talkingbirds 21:34, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

It's okay. We must learn from our mistakes. That's how everything works on Wikipedia, after all. Because of the lack of responses, it will probably be relisted into another day's logs by an admin. talkingbirds 21:55, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

List of BS songs article[edit]

There only needs to be one article listing Spears' songs. I think the best thing to do is to update the discography with the additional b-sides and such. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 01:49, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi! Just wanna let you know that i modified that article in order of give it a better look and better information. I remove writing discography for the main discography article and add it to BS songs article, the same for cover versions. I read live cover versions on that article, the same for unofficial songs section. I check every song on that list in order to be sure that every song is there. Hope theres no problem, and if a problem with that article appears, let me know before u edit the article, and/or add the problem on the talk page of the article. if I could help by adding references, I would be very grateful Please, and thanks :) Fortunato luigi (talk) 06:44, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Done: You were right about "Right Now", so i readd it to de officially released songs. I also wanna thank u for the idea of other songs, i didn't know how to add "What's going on" and "Crazy" to the article, that was a great idea. Fortunato luigi (talk) 20:10, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
  • Sure, again you are right. Add those two songs to the officially released songs, please. And about the new section, i think that would be a great idea, i guess you will be taking the info from http://unreleasedbritneyspears.4mg.com/ right???? So there is a reference for the section, but about particular info of the songs??? You will put them a description or u just gonna add them in a list??? Fortunato luigi (talk) 20:36, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

+++Yes, i saw it, but im not that sure about add it to the main discography, i mean, its real info, but i still thinkin that it was just a promo, or something like a single, cuz i dunno if u had heard about madonnas remixed and revisited, some people considere it as a single, and others like an EP, and other like a compilation,i think the same goes to key cuts from remixed. Besides, it was not an EP that jive decided to considere like an official EP, they just released it to make a little of promotion to B in the Mix, and its not that relevant cuz it was just a little cut of the album, it was like the album, but shorter —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fortunato luigi (talkcontribs) 20:46, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Key Cuts from Remixed[edit]

You should discuss things before you choose to change them!!!

  • About key cuts from remixes:
    • You dont think so????!!! That is not even a real answer to the problem, wikipedia and its articles doesnt belong to you, people should be allowed to discuss about the content, and opeople shouldnt act so prepotent, the least u can do is explain your point of view before u choose to see Britney Spears' article like if it were yours!!!
    • My next point is: Key cuts from remixes doesnt even have one really reliable source!!! discogs??? who knew that site, and who think it is a reliable source??? I never heard before about that supposed EP, not from Brit, not from a magazine, it is not an official EP!!! Dont even think to say "i knew about the EP, cuz im a really big fan" cuz that would be a lie, why??? cuz u doesnt even knew that "Chris Cox Megamix" was officialy called "Chris Cox Megamix"!!!!
  • actually discogs is reliable as they dont post phoneys! and everyting is checked by the admin before being posted and so there are no phoneys cos admin check to make it sure its real.
  • Why keep changing Non album songs???
    • U should, at least, explain your personal reasons to do that??? Fortunato luigi (talk) 02:24, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
  • It is an offcial EP. its says so on the actual backcover and it was sent to radio stations not actual stores (that is why you may never heard of it!) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Apeaboutsims (talkcontribs) 10:31, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

plus to back apeaboutsims up, it has a catalog number meaning its real. fakes dont usually have catalog numbers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackex56 (talkcontribs) 04:10, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (File:Britney-Spears-Megamix.png)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Britney-Spears-Megamix.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 08:41, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Re: Sorry[edit]

I want to apologize if i sounded rude the last time, i thought you were from USA and that you knew everything about her being an American, sorry again if i sounded rude. But it just that i cuouldnt find more info about that promo EP and i never heard about it before, but maybe we should wait to add it again or not 'til someone else discuss it on the talk page and see what to do. Sorry if i act rude, and like i do, i hope the next time u change something you explain your reasons. Fortunato luigi (talk) 23:04, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

its also listed here [1]. Thats the official swedish charts and releases website.--Jackex56 (talk) 04:15, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I know, I've put that site as a reference in the Key Cuts from Remixed. --PlatinumFire

Please do not recreate this article - it was redirected per consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Out from Under (Song) just 4 days ago. Reasons for its redirect and the final outcome are viewable on that page. Thanks. - eo (talk) 10:39, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Energetic[edit]

It hasn't chart nor is there signifience coverage so it fails WP:NSONGS as well as WP:GNG. Also saying that it is going to chart is WP:CRYSTAL, which is not accepted on Wikipedia. If you are not familiar with any of these please read them. MS (Talk|Contributions) 22:34, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of List of Britney Spears' songs[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of Britney Spears' songs. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Britney Spears' songs. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:23, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Singles[edit]

I haven't been adding Breathe on Me or Boom Boom back in. If a song has an article, it needs to go into the template. What's Going on was a promo single, making it notable. Having Fun goes there because it was a download single, and That's Where You Take Me is apparently a single somewhere and has an article, it needs to go in the template. ---Shadow (talk) 12:20, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Unusual You Page[edit]

You agreed that "Unusual You" should be listed again, but could you possibly make the page? as when i make a page, it gets deleted. If not i will try, but i think it will get deleted.--Jackex56 (talk) 03:04, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

  • They will probably redirect it again if I try to make the page, but I'll try to do somethin bout it. --PlatinumFire
  • Thank - You So Much. I agree. But there is so much evidence! they'ed better have a reason to delete it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.101.130.140 (talk) 08:45, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Official or not official[edit]

Yes, they are official, just because they are registered, but they werent OFFICIALLY RELEASED, they were UNOFFICIALLY RELEASED, no matter if they were or are official songs, that is what the article is about, distinguish songs the her label released officially from songs that leaked even if they are registered Fortunato luigi (talk) 17:07, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

  • But the point of those list wasnt to show songs that are registred, was to separate officially released from unoficially released song. And what makes you think that those songs that u put into leaked demos/working titles are not registered???? Maybe they are, but we dont know, and if they are registeed we could merge both of the list into one, given the fact that ALL of her songs are registered, but there's the fact that not ALL of those official (registered) songs have been released officially, some of the are unofficcial releases. SO please, dont merge both lists, they should be separated. Please. Fortunato luigi (talk) 17:22, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

And Then We Kiss[edit]

i would like to discuss and the we kiss for the single time line. you said that "and then we kiss" should be listed as 2005 on the Gimme More Page even though it wasn't officially released 2007. so would also mean that we put "Radar" after break the ice because it was released first then rather than 2009 ater IFSA. i don't think we should make exceptions for some songs and then for others. the same rule needs to apply for all songs, so not to confuse people. whats your view?--Morgan3136 (talk) 00:27, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

  • Well in 2007 And Then We Kiss was released only in North America and in 2005 it was released worldwide as a promo. --PlatinumFire 09:05, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
  • yeah but radar, was released worldwide as minor release in 2008 but was only released as a single in 2009 in the UK only. ?--Morgan3136 (talk) 09.15, 30 September 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.101.162.62 (talk)
  • It wasn't released only in the UK, it was released in North America, Australia, and France also. --PlatinumFire 19:15, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Hello.
Please don't ever make comments such as in this edit summary: That is a clear cut personal attack (see WP:NPA), and is hurting the project. Edit summaries are important, but make sure you comment on the content, not on the editors.

Let me tell you something....[edit]

I don't like the way you change everything when you want it, even if you think you are doing the right thing, sometimes you are wrong, or you are being selfish changing the articles the way you want them. I hope you can change that part of you, and accept the others opinion, and i am being honest saying this because you are one of the guys who has been really involved on the improvement of the BS articles, and people really aprecciate it, like i do. But, for this time i wont revert your changes, i will wait to see if someone else says that it is wrong and then i will support that person. Sometimes i have to fight with you about the changes because you accept the way the articles are one day, and the next day, you decide to change them beacuse you think they are wrong. Be coherent with the things you say and do. I have a lot of exalpes about this, but i will tell you just one: first you liked the BS songs articles, and then, out of nothing, you change them because you think they were wrong. And keep changing the article, sometimes for good, other i don understand why. Anyway, i just want you to know that i really think you have done a wonderful job improving her articles, but you can be so rude and selfish sometimes. Keep improving the articles, you have done it so right!!! Fortunato luigi (talk) 01:13, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

  • Hey there! I need your help with something, see... the Videography article, someone change the table, the new table is horrible honestly, so i revert it, but i'd like to know if someone revert it again you will support me to keep the old table. Please and Thanks ;) Fortunato luigi (talk) 04:44, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

The Fame Monster[edit]

Glad to see you're among those keeping a cooler head on this - I did some rewriting there only to have it picked apart recently and my sources completely removed, and now there's some popcorn-inviting discussion going on between some of the editors...your edit putting "The Fame" in as the bonus disc information I feel is correct and I appreciate your persistence on that, but it appears at least one editor feels that it's not proper...kind of a shame isn't it?

Let's both keep an eye on this thing, I think the majority of the issues have been hammered out but I'm watching regardless as unsourced edits will still sneak in among all this. CycloneGU (talk) 17:41, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:CircusBrit.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:CircusBrit.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 13:52, 12 August 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:52, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Promo CDo[edit]

Promo CDs

  • Have NO cover artwork such as "That's Where You Take Me" does.
  • Are only available to DJs and radio stations
  • ARE ILLEGAL TO SELL IN ANYWAY!!!

"That's Where You Take Me" was the opposite and is therefore an official single. Stop removing it from the Singles section in the album infobox. User:Cprice1000 (User:Cprice1000 () 20:43, 24 August 2010 (UTC))

License tagging for File:TC-CL.jpg[edit]

Survey[edit]

Hi PlatinumFIre!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

January 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Status. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Britney Spears discography without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!  — Statυs (talk, contribs) 14:49, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
