Wikilinking[edit]

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.

I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

(This even applies to infoboxes.)

Thanks, and my best wishes.

WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages[edit]

Replacement filing cabinet.svg Thank you for your recent articles, including Tomasz Młodzianowski, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as this, this, this and this. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:34, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 10[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Józef Andrasz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SJ. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Jacek Woroniecki[edit]

Thanks for creating this article. I am the main author of Polish Wikipedia entry about Father Woroniecki. In the coming weeks I will try to look into the en-wiki article, reference it, and maybe expand a little bit. Maksymilian Sielicki (talk) 11:46, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Jacek Woroniecki[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jacek Woroniecki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. please do not items from surname templates. It does not matter whether surname is rare or not. This is not a popularity contest, this is encyclopedia. and it sometimes describes very rare things. -No.Altenmann >t 15:12, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

Calvary merger[edit]

I suggested the merger, because the article about (sculpture) contains paragraphs, like,

"In Central Europe, a calvary is a complex of shrines or chapels containing not only the sculpture or painting of Crucifixion of Jesus, but all the Station of the Cross."

If they are different topics, both articles must clearly refer to each other, to avoid confusion. For example, the cited centence may be rephrased (forgive my ignorance) as follows,

"In Central Europe, the term "calvary (sanctuary)" may refer to a complex of shrines or chapels containing not only the sculpture or painting of Crucifixion of Jesus, but all the Station of the Cross."

Proposed deletion of O Blood and Water[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article O Blood and Water has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets this policy on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
