Danger Along the Ohio[edit]

Hi, with regards to your edits to the article Danger Along the Ohio, you might find it helpful to look at a Wikiproject called WikiProject Novels, and in particular their style guidelines. You can also ask any questions if you need to at their talkpage. Regards, --BelovedFreak 13:43, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

For more details on article ratings, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Assessment#Quality scale. This details what is needed for each rating. If you still have doubts, the WikiProject Novels people should be able to advise you. The article still needs a lot of work. I'm not sure if you've had a look at the style guideline I mentioned above. That should give you an idea of how to lay out an article about a novel. For example, the "annotation" section is not necessary. Another thing is, when you make wikilinks, please check where the link points to. For example, you have linked the word "savages", but this link leads to an article about a play, and so doesn't help the reader. Another link you have is for "Wheeling" and this points to a disambiguation page, and may confuse the reader that clicks on it.
One thing that is very important for all Wikipedia articles is having references to reliable sources. These make the article verifiable and help to demonstrate why the article is notable. Links to websites that sell the book are not generally considered reliable sources. Why don't you have a look at some other articles about novels, like To Kill a Mockingbird, Uncle Tom's Cabin or Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. These are all featured articles.--BelovedFreak 14:03, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I would maybe rate it a start, but don't worry so much about ratings, they're just to let people in Wikiprojects know which articles need work. It's better to concentrate on actually improving the article.--BelovedFreak 11:53, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit to AIV[edit]

Is there a reason why you made this edit? Momo san Gespräch 21:21, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I reviewed that edit, I understand the IP committed vandalism but users must be sufficiently warned before reporting them to AIV. Momo san Gespräch 21:24, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Again the IP has NOT had sufficient warnings to be blocked, please stop pushing the issue. Momo san Gespräch 21:32, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

December 2009[edit]

Warning retracted

This admin for one thinks that warning was inappropriate. In my opinion, this editor was trying to deal with an IP vandalizing Wind power and had the best of intentions in making that AIV report - hardly warranting a vandalism warning. Toddst1 (talk) 21:50, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I understand and i'm sorry if I made that warning. I jumped the gun too soon and based on the user's edits, after my last comment, the user stopped anyway and started to understand the IP user didn't have sufficient warnings to be reported to AIV. Things happen and i'm sure you can understand. Momo san Gespräch 05:43, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry[edit]

I saw beloved freak's talk page and i saw that he helps stop vandalism and i saw the best way to spot it was look in recent change's so i did and and i hit diff and it said you know and it was vandalism but i should of gave him a warning sorry about that i learned and i will try to not do it again i learned so again sorry.Qwertyisbest (talk) 14:49, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to Berkshire locomotive has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Drake, Frances a explorer or settler, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Amsaim (talk) 00:01, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Hans erik holm. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Connormah (talk) 00:03, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Café World, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Portal:Current events. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for vandalism. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. —TheDJ (talkcontribs) 20:39, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
