Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text below this notice. Thank you.

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 06:13, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Daniel, Sorry for the late reply - nothing happended for a few days and I was a bit busy elsewhere. Yes, I do understand that Wikipedia is an encylopedia and not a business directory. The page I linked to is a search engine for literature on the subject - in fact the most comprehensive and specialized collection of references on this matter alone. Therefore, I consider it highly relevant for the two pages I added the link to. Other engines (scholar, collection of CS bibliographoes, citeseer, bibsonomy, etc) are a lot broader and any query punched in there provides thousands of irrelevant results. Regarding conflict of interest. I do understand it, but I think this is a grey-area case. I guess anyone interested in EC or GAs would love to have access to information about anything written on the matter, don't you? I would, which was the reason for creating the search engine in the first place. Furthermore, as I got it Wikipedia is about providing information and my search engine is doing exactly that in a neutral manner. Yes, I do have ads on my page, but who doesn't these days - it's not a goldmine and so far I've earned less than 5$ on my site, which is less than 0.5 cent per working hour I put into the engine. :-) Regarding, notability, I think the about arguments should qualify for a link in the external references/links section. Please reconsider my application and the link to the search engine on these two pages (Evolutionary computation and Genetic algorithm). Best regards,Rasmus

Admins will not consider an unblock request unless it's posted by the account itself. Please log in and confirm that you actually posted the request, RKUrsem. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 21:16, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Under the external links guidelines and the conflict of interest guidelines, we all agree to avoid linking to our own web sites. Since that appears to be your major intended contribution, it wouldn't be appropriate to unblock you. If you ever become interested in volunteering to help Wikipedia improve the encyclopedia in other ways, feel free to ask again. And don't worry - if your web site really is the most reliable source available, it's inevitable that other users will link to it. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:09, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
