Speedy deletion nomination of File:New Horizons Current Position.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on File:New Horizons Current Position.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Orphaned non-free image File:Good Riddance and Kill Your Idols.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Good Riddance and Kill Your Idols.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.

Inappropriate page move[edit]

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that sometime today I'm going to be requesting Old Dominion Monarchs men's basketball get moved back to Old Dominion Monarchs basketball. WikiProject College Basketball team article naming conventions dictate that "men's" is not supposed to be used when there is a "Lady <name>" for the women's program (likewise, "women's" is not to be used in these cases). The ODU team names should be Old Dominion Monarchs basketball and Old Dominion Lady Monarchs basketball. Grazie. Jrcla2 (talk) 20:09, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Idol series[edit]

In your map File:Countries with Idol series.svg, could you remove Pakistan? The show was actually designated but it was later cancelled and failed to launch. Perhaps a colour code for "cancelled" might be appropriate? Mar4d (talk) 00:10, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Fixed. Thanks for the heads-up. Radiant chains (talk) 04:13, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

article Azerbaijani-American[edit]

hi Radiant chains! You have previously edited the article Azerbaijani American, that's why I decided to ask you to look at this version of the page [1] I have done many edits to it, expanded it tremendously, added many fresh, new sources, including unique statistics from the Department of Homeland Security, and in general made this article more consistent with other similar articles about "hyphenated Americans", such as Russian American, Turkish American, Iranian American, Armenian American, etc. This version of the article, however, keeps being reverted by some users, including IP anons[2], who are otherwise never improving the article in any way, content with keeping it in a sorry state and just revert. The article as well as its talk page could benefit from your insight and knowledge. I have left extensive comments myself, and each time I edited, I left an overwhelming number of sources, going above and beyond of what's necessary. I don't want this simple article to become artificially polarized, and thus think your "two cents" would help improve it. --Saygi1 (talk) 00:15, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

Discussion on linking to streamed copies of albums[edit]

Wikipedia policy allows us to link to legal streamed copies of albums. It would be useful to draw up a guideline on how and when to link to such albums; however, there is concern that it may not be appropriate as the music would not be available in all parts of the world. Is the benefit of having access to the music for most users outweighed by the fact that some users will follow a link to find the music is not playable in their region? Your view would be helpful at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums. SilkTork ✔Tea time 02:31, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
