Prior editing?[edit]

You were evidently not a new user even when you did your first edits under this account in February 2008. As you are now taking part in Arbitration ostensibly as a quasi-newcomer, I think it would be fair if you disclosed what and under what id you edited prior to that. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 15:06, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I never had an account before this one, honestly. Even after I created it, I only logged in sporadically. I have been a long time reader of wikipedia prior to creating the account, but I guess that doesn't count. I am also a very fast learner, clever (all Oxonians are I guess), handsome and immensely modest (in case that is somehow relevant). --Radjenef (talk) 15:16, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Radjenef[edit]

All you and your folk are contributing here is DISORDER. WHY DON'T YOU JUST KILL YOURSELVES??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.149.141.40 (talk) 08:15, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your frustration but you're not helping here. No, wait, that is not what I meant to say. What I really meant to say is... bring it on! If you're trying to win my prize for "featured conversation", you're not even close :-) --Radjenef (talk) 08:23, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just letting you know I've got your page on my watchlist as well. This sort of thing is appalling, and I believe that most everyone involved in the dispute would be disgusted with the comment above. John Carter (talk) 20:00, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

People are calling my humour nonsense[edit]

Apparently people are finding my humour to be nonsense [1]. In any case, for the record, I'd like to declare that (at least for today) I self-identify as an EU citizen [2]. I also use the lane that says "EU citizens" when I am at the airport... --Radjenef (talk) 20:35, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wooden walls[edit]

You remember the story where some Athenians wanted to stay and fight a lost battle because they thought that their interpretation of a "prophecy" was the precise one, the wooden walls would actually protect them against the hordes of Xerxes? At the end of the day, Athens did burn... but the primary war for Greece was not lost by Themistocles' course of action. :) Shadowmorph ^"^ 18:42, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In other words you know I sympathize ...but I am a pragmatist. Shadowmorph ^"^ 18:47, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What would have happened if the Persians had found Athens completely deserted? --Radjenef (talk) 18:52, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I remember they didn't influence anything. That's because they didn't set up an iconic stand such as Leonidas' but rather waited for a Deus ex Machina on the curious premise that the wooden walls would suffice :) Shadowmorph ^"^ 10:34, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You can't know for sure what would have happened at the Battle of Salamis if the Persians hadn't spent time capturing and burning Athens. In our analogue for the case, the powers that be didn't allow Athens to set up an "iconic stand", so Athens stands undefeated. --Radjenef (talk) 11:14, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
True. By the way, I added email to my account. Shadowmorph ^"^ 13:23, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
