Polish topic

Hello, maybe you don't know, where is Poland, but could I ask you for translation to Hindi this article: Chrząchów? I want top show a tragic history of place my parents' origin. For pay for it, I can translate something small for you, from English to Polish, f.e. about India; history, politic, geography... Bocianski 06:33, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

(Re from his page): Hello, Hindi is my native language although I have not been very active on Hindi wikipedia. But I will surely work on translating this article in Hindi and let you know once its done. -- Lost 06:49, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Response

As for your second query, you have created the category correctly. If you add this category to various articles, like you did, those articles will appear under the category. Did you want to create an article by that name? -- Lost 18:34, 10 July 2006 (UTC) Update: disambiguation page created -- Lost 18:38, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi!! -- in response to the above, I would like to create an article which I can link to. I thought I had created the article (Dames of Malta), but evidently I didn't. I only want to provide a brief description and link to names of members.

Thanks!!

Vandalism?

Tell me, if you set out the Mona Lisa with a variety of paintbrushes, paints, spray paints, etc. next to it, and then left a sign that said, "Please improve me", what right do you have to call my doodling vandalism? How can you do the same when we're referring to something, I think we can all agree, quite a few levels of magnitude down from any art? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Africanus (talkcontribs)

You should be aware of the wikipedia policies and guidelines especially after being warned repeatedly. Please see WP:NOR and WP:POINT. I have reported you at WP:AIV -- Lost 15:42, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Censorship

Warning a man that to breathe is a capital crime is no excuse for murdering him when he takes a breath.

They say that assassination is the ultimate form of censorship. Obviously you cannot kill someone on the internet, but you can accomplish much the same by banning them. So, I suppose that this project can indeed be edited by anyone – provided that they don't run afoul of Big Brother.

State templates

Hi Lost – a suggestion. I know its unconventional, but consider making one template instead of distinct ones for the Indian Himalayan states (excluding Kashmir). I think its more efficient and a reasonable grouping of states – there aren't many diverse areas and topics for the small states, so perhaps a grouping is warranted. After all, that's why I moved the portal from simply Nepal to the region. Rama's arrow – this Fire burns always 18:58, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Well the templates I've created are cut/paste replicas of existent ones anyway. Just use the preview button more. Rama's arrow – this Fire burns always 06:09, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Adding {not verified} tags

All of the articles that I have updated with not verified tags have shown little or no references to the source of their material. Despite the fact that they are featured articles, they still do not have any verifiable source. Verifiable sources are WP policy in numerous locations. Please familiarize yourself with them. Thank you.--202.159.212.165 16:38, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Lost, I agree the anonymous user at 202.159.212.165 is apparently using gratuitous addition of {not verified} tags as a way of making trouble. As background, see that user's sentiment in [his] first edit, then obvious falsehoods I corrected at Washington Gallery of Modern Art, user's attack on me once I started chasing [his] apparently-BS edits, and subsequent nonsense like on Princess Parrots. Since 202.159.212.165 was giving me trouble about reverting [him], I stopped reverting and just added some {not verified} tags to [his] dubious edits. Now 202.159.212.165 seems to be using those tags to cause trouble elsewhere. Regards,CHE 18:27, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

He seems to have stopped now. If he vandalizes one-more article (now that we have left messages), I will block him. - Ganeshk (talk) 19:49, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

You've got a Thank you card!

Hello Mr. Lost. I thank you for your message. I do not believe that he has left – for various reasons he may not have edited for last two or three days. I know that true wikipedians do not desert the ship, and as a true wikipedian, Ambuj should again become active very shortly. All the best! --Bhadani 14:46, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Infoboxes

Hey Lost, hows it going? Haven't heard from you lately. So, I was thinking to help you to make infoboxes for WikiProject India. I'm doing this, besides helping you, is to practice creating infobox later, for Indonesian infoboxes :) So, probably from "Wikipedia:WikiProject India, Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian states, Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian cities, Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian districts", you can choose one first, and tell me what information you'd like to be on the list. Cheers -- Imoeng 12:50, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

No problem Lost! Hey btw, since I don't know anything about India, can you name the things you'd like to be on the infobox? And also, in WikiProject India, there are lots of department.. Really, I'm confused now, ahahahha. Cheers -- Imoeng 23:16, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Ahh, so you just need the outline of the infobox and you'll fill the list yourself? Okay no problem. Btw, how can I reach you when you're not on? I don't know other dudes on WikiProject India except you, ahahaha, poor me. Cheers -- Imoeng 10:24, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Sorry to keep bothering you, but please answer that question, so I can get to work. :D Cheers -- Imoeng 20:23, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

My NCH query on an article lifted verbatim from a print source

Thanks for your response to my "plagiarism" question on the New contributors' help page. I see that what I'd written was open to an ambiguous reading, so have revised it to clarify. I'd appreciate if you'd give it another look! -- Thanks, Deborahjay 18:42, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Replied at WP:NUH -- Lost(talk) 18:44, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

The source text was taken from a print encyclopaedia that is not available online. I'll have to study this issue further to understand the ramifications, and appreciate your pointing me in the right direction! As it would be a shame to have the article deleted, I'll do some preliminary cutting and copyediting, provide the reference, and note all this on the article's Talk page. (NB: I regret the time I'll have to waste on this at the expense of more pressing matters here and in RL, but these things happen...!) Thanks again; you've been of great help! -- Deborahjay 19:01, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey Lost, long time no talk, hehehe. Well, I don't know. I just got home from school now. When I wanted to edit a page at school, it said my account has been blocked, so, I just did what it said. I'm going to delete it now, cheers -- Imoeng 07:41, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
